hopefully he's inching his way back to form. that attempted assist for yuri vs united that lead to the pen which he dispatched, has gave him a nice confident boost i think. luiz had a great game, ramires is suddenly showing he's even capable of playing right winger with some wicked crosses, essien is improving, and torres still needs decent service. but i don't like malouda ignoring torres on two occasions, taking a shot from an impossible angle when the latter was practically unmarked in the box.

josh was his usual composed self when he came on, but still needs more time to impress. nobody's able to thread that killer through ball for torres so far (only luiz managed to put him through cleanly vs fulham), and i wouldn't be surprised if josh will be the one to do it soon. was amazing in our fa youth cup win vs watford btw, and picking out lalkovic and co. with exactly those kind of passes we lack at the moment.

didier and torres partnership isn't really working yet, so i wonder what's the plan vs copenhagen. kalou was our supersub yet again, helping to kill of blackpool by winning a pen, and setting up lampard. completes his cameo appearance by skying the ball into the stands, when malouda FINALLY crossed the damn ball into the box. if only torres was at the end of that. i'm really curious about a kalou and torres combo now...the ivorian does have a knack for neat passes along the ground, and torres would love those. will carlo experiment in our next game?
