Hi,

just wondering if anyone here know how to make those tiles (stairs) not that hard / sharp ?
i heard we can get someone over to make it "round" at the side so that people wont get hurt easily when accidentally kick on them...

any advise ?
or can we do it manually ?

a good tiler can 'blunt' it. mine did the corners of my laundry sink area very nicely!

if u decide to grind/sand it, do bear in mind that the corner will appear brownish if the tile is not a porcelain tile.

U just need those circular disc grinder machine with coarse and thin sand paper.

other wise, you can always stick those rubber corner guard for the whole stretch for the stairs .

mine is porcelain tile... but i was wondering.. will the work affect outlook of the tiles ?

If porcelain tile then your grinding will look fine.

Oh ya, when you are doing the grinding, just use a vacuum cleaner nearby to suck in the dust so that it doesn't fly everywhere, especially the wall.

my contact is the main con. wont advise to call just to get a small thing done. suggest you get a tile person directly to help, or if your neighbours doin reno, ask their workers to 'help' abit - pay them of coz. i dont think it will take too long to do.

yupe.. when i am drilling the wall.. i am using vacuum cleaner below to suck all the dust lolz.. and it just works great

If you got a grinder, you can DIY. If you don't have a grinder, you can get it as low as rm50 at anywhere, carrefour, hardware shop, etc.

yupe.. saw that even at those hardware shop / hypermarket.. but if no skill... tile broken +_+ aiks... even worse lolz

still will check out the charges and then only decide to diy or get them to do it

At most will be uneven, won't grind until tile crack or broken lah.

Use sandpaper instead of those diamond grinder disc haha.

got it done.. damn rm 30 and the work soo easy .. should purchase a ciplak device and do ownself
