My old Yamaha RX-V450 is dead (can not on, used to be sometimes can not on). Does anyone know anywhere to fix it?
if there is no point of fixing it, anyone have any recommendation for a replacement? A 5.1 will suffice because of my existing setup and it would be better if the rms is higher than my V450 as i feel that my V450 is under power because my living room is quite big. I actually don't need all the fancy stuff because what we do is only watch astro and my mum listens to cds on it. we don't even watch dvd on it.
thanks for all the recommendations

Hi
Do you live in KL/Selangor?
If yes two options
1) There is an audio shop in Amcorp Mall call Unicorn something. They have a technician there that can fix Yamaha stuff
2) The Yamaha service center in Kelana Jaya (the one with Yamaha Music Center)
As for a replacement amp
You can either consider a Yamaha higher series amp (5++ or 6++) or a Denon
Having personally used both and had attempted to use Onkyo, I can tell seriously tell you, you'll appreciate the sound and easy of use of the Yamaha amps, after you had tried to use an Onkyo... Denon are NOT as easy of use as Yamaha but you'll appreciate the Denon when you listen to CDs.
