QUOTE(GKWong @ Feb 7 2011, 07:25 PM) currently only First Batch of N8 all 5 colours got PR1.1. Those are with product codes without any alphabets in it, just all numbers. So those who were able to update, you know one extra thing now. You potentially have a mobo that's a ticking time bomb! For those who had their board change or 2nd batch, then need to wait. |

Is this real? I don't think Nokia's PR dept would approve this for release. It's very unlikely. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Symbian as an OS is excellent, and very resource friendly. Otherwise Angry Birds and NFS Shift won't be that smooth with just 680mhz ARM. They should really overhaul the UI only. Make it on par in terms of smoothness and user friendliness of Android and iOS. That was their mistake.

QUOTE(andrekua @ Feb 10 2011, 01:51 AM) Yes, I know that. I have an N8 too. An Android device also has a dedicated GPU, but it won't run smoothly on an 680mhz ARM. That's why I said Symbian is more resource friendly.Added on February 10, 2011, 1:48 pm QUOTE(qwerty79 @ Feb 10 2011, 11:56 AM) If use Android will get tons of competition. Even with symbian, SE can come up with better customization. Definitely. Even HTC is very good with their Sense UI. Might not matter to us geeks. But for the majority of users out there, the prettiness of the UI counts. Just look at iDonk4This post has been edited by spikey2506: Feb 10 2011, 01:48 PM |
