Just finish watching MOTD. Saw 2 magpies fans just walked away from the stadium right after 4-0. They must be regret to leave the stadium at that time. LOL

I always think there are 99% of match fixing sport in the world. Else these bookmakers won't be able to survive in this market. Just look at how many sportbet on website now?

Game against NUFC is one of the example. 2nd penalty was a joke. bloody fatty referee.

Certainly agree, if there are absolutely no match fixing, they will be having nightmares every night... biggrin.gif

Look at the Italy serie a, the scandal in 2006. That maybe just one of the many match fixing uncovered, many still aren't.

And EPL is just too popular to be involved in a scandal, imagine what will happen to all the advertisers, sponsors, etc.... if something is uncovered. biggrin.gif

Wenger actually took a risk yesterday by subbing Song out. We knew Nasri will always blossom in the mid park, but by extracting Song out. He might exposed the defense hole in the middle. Luckily the team manage to attack as defend
*
I think that's the right move. In the 1st half after Song got his 1st yellow, I was at the edge of my seat before the electricity went out at around 35th minute.

I was so afraid that Song will see RED, then all will be gone... pheew....

QUOTE
A player is in an offside position if three conditions are met:

1) the player must be on the opposing team's half of the field.
2) the player must be in front of the ball.
3) there must be fewer than two opposing players between him and the opposing goal line, with the goalkeeper counting as an opposing player for these purposes. It is not necessary that the goalkeeper be one of the last two opponents. Any attacker that is level with or behind the ball is not in an offside position and may never be sanctioned for an offside offence.

For me, Messi's 'goal' was an offside.

From the replay,

1) there's no 2nd last defender when the ball went from Pedro to Messi, actually not even 1st defender as Djourou was only inline with Messi after the ball reached Messi's leg. Messi was already offside when the ball from Pedro bounced off Szczęsny
2) All 3 players, Koscielny, Szczęsny and Djourou were all behind Messi...
3) The ball was in front of Messi, not behind...

Just my opinion. smile.gif

1) "Defenders" include all players, so Szczesny was the last defender.
3) This is the point of contention really, whether he was in front or behind. Very hard to tell from grainy youtube videos.
Even after so many games, I don't dare to say it, but mayb we can stop worrying about goalkeepers from now on...
*
Yup, but Szczesny was already long off when he tried to get the ball from Pedro.

Then Messi was already in front of both Djourou and Koscielny, Szczesny was way behind... lol... you should download the full match. There's a 90 degree angle replay. smile.gif

I replayed so many times... the players were too fast already... and can pretty much confirmed that Messi was offside. Sorry, having my dinner and nothing better to do. laugh.gif

Replay is good... at least the field at Emirates is awesome. biggrin.gif

But then, hope they just kill the game and stop strolling around...
