 Hi, maybe you can consider the new IP TV, which is just like a small thumbdrive. Just plug it into your Desktop or Laptop USB, you can watch all PPS movies and all countires tv channels. It comes with 3D effect, include a pair of 3D glasses. You didn't say what age is your TV. If it's an LCD or plasma, (i.e., made in this century) and you have a real notebook instead of one of those "toy notebooks" like Intel netbooks with Intel graphics, then you can straight away link the two together through DVI or HDMI cable. It's a lot simpler than you think.
