Better test different brands and find out yourself. Denon 1911, onkyo 608, pioneer 920 and yamaha are good contenders. Matter of personal preference. Each has it's own character.

you can follow through discussion on AVR forums for various brand, I read there are a lot of RM2K class AVR from manufacturer such as yamaha, pioneer, onkyo, denon......
