Im on RevoHD 2.0.11, I'm currently using Performance (max core) when in use and lowest core when screen is off. I tracked my battery usage using "currentwidget", my battery usage is down to 2-7mA when idle (screen off) ...

Why is this a "bye bye" ?

@GreenSamurai - exactly, I dunno why but phone is meant to be used. Not to be pitted against other phones to compare battery life...I once read something very funny like this :-

"My battery can last 168 hours+, with my phone.............................OFF!"

Ya lor .. use ur phone la.. rather than idling ur phone and becoming the battery life champion ~

Battery drainage, dual cored... single core is already feasible for me and I see dual-core phones as gimmicks. Similar situation when 3GS users switched to Ip4 when 3GS is already enough/better for some people ( I saw threads on WTS IP4, Reason : downgrade to 3Gs).

It's a non ending race if you wanna keep up. For sure a lot of $ will be wasted in between every transition.

Ppl will often say "look at pentium 4 and dual core, when dual core was introduced, ppl said the same thing about such power is not needed. What about now?". It's actually like comparing a mango with a tangerine... a total different shit.....

ALL that power on a 4.3 - 5' device. Try playing FF7 on the phone and PC. The experience will definitely not as good as PC due to the size of the screen.

A straight forward analogy will be like driving a Ferrari on 100m track vs driving a Fairlady 350Z on a 10KM track @ full speed..

Conclusion, though not as powerful but good enough for all of our usual usage.......

True that my friend. Agreed that at least within this year. I doubt there will be much changes on the hardware as any further enlargement of the screen size will not be classified as a phone, rather a tablet. For my self opinion, Dell Streak 5' is the largest that most people can cope as a "phone". Imagine holding up ur ipad size phone and speak.

Try to move/drive/walk/run away from tall buildings... I found out whenever I'm sitting in my car beside a tall building waiting for it to lock, it NEVER will. Then I gave up and drive blindly away........it got lock once I'm away from those tall buildings...

EDIT: Oh btw dear DHD owners , any idea where to buy USB > Micro USB cable ? Long long 1...........

Which ROM are you using ? I'm using a custom rom and no issue except interference by overhead bridges/tall buildings..... but it make sense to be slightly difficult to lock your location given the cloudy weather...

technology is advancing fast and there's no point to wait if you like something unless it will be released next week or a few days later. When the phone that you liked a lot is finally released, a new more advanced** phone will be announced and you'll do the same hesitation act again by asking the forumers the same question..................

**advanced - minor improvements, and gimmickry functions.. unless ironman's phone or flexible screen (OLED)
