Hi, I’m sending this email regarding the HTC Desire HD Camera Issue. I can see there’s quite a number of users with this problem.

The problem seems to be with the autofocus. If you see the pictures it is quite notable. It can be out of focus/blurred on either left/right of pictures taken.
So this is why I’m reluctant to buy the phone. I wanted to purchase it from DiGi.
 
I’m wondering what is HTC going to do about this issue. I know this support email is for Malaysia. But maybe you guys can inform HTC about it.

I think it is available just before CNY.  Just that not many of us check HTC Hub often.  But actually I bumped into it accidentally.

Hmm this is what I get so far from SiS Malaysia.. This issue is holding back my purchase now

XDA Forums might have people with that issue, but what about you guys? Any of you have this problem?

i rarely use bluetooth to send files but camera manual focus as in tap anywhere on screen to focus have problem? hmm hopefully that will be an easy fix  it's based on gingerbread right

So far no..close up and distance shots on my pc..will try to test again.

How's performance and battery life compare to stock ?

Curious, can this fella last from 7am to 9pm? With maybe an hour or two of music and the occasional 3G data?

My main concern with this is the battery life, other than that I'm fine with this.

- on my way to office listening music + online.. (approx. 1hour)
- at office, on bluetooth (transfer data from office's pc)
- lunch, online (approx. 30mins)
- evening go back home, listening music + online (approx. 1hour++)
- night use wi-fi + watching some HD video clips + games (approx. 3 hours)
- go to sleep on 2am, my battery still have 24%.. (but i avoid to charge it)
- wake up 10am, battery still got 20% (bored to wait when i can charge my DHD)

hey, i thought this one was stock camera effect (DOF / Depth Of Field), because i usually use this effect when capturing photos..

what's ur setting? brightness level? network mode? background data? etc etc etc..

All of this with 3G standby or without?
