Hi guys, need some guidance here.

I have mordaunt-short carnival 7 connected to my marantz sr4500 via line-in into the marantz on "audio pre-out" L+R.

I am pretty sure that previously there was sound from the sub, but suddenly no sound...as in I cannot really hear the bomb boom/echoing at the back.

Any idea?... When I run the test from the marantz, only the sub no sound....

The power light from the woofer is still green.

Pls help.

First...off the Sub..and on it back a 5 minutes later...

Next check the connections, make sure firmly fitted.

Still no sound...change the 'line in' cables....use a cheapo stuff will do...just wanna know whether the cables are causing the problem.

Also, you might wanna check your amp setting...make sure the Sub or LFE has been selected...meaning 5.1 instead of 5.0

Send it back to the place you purchase if still got warranty. My Aviano 9 which's hardly used also got similar problem. The replacement circuit board also seems got problem but too bad I'm out of country. So, can't check further.

That's bro did that... Realized that the sound is freaking soft. I set the sub to auto mode, so it will on when necessary... Tested a few movies and songs, it seldom turn on.

Thanks for sharing bro. Really really appreciate it. Actually this is my second sub already, the first one the shop lost it. Replace with top-up to this Mordaunt short. Obviously this is not a very good, at least not lasting one....
Will send it back for checking, any idea if there is any service center for this brand? Because I lost the receipt that I purchased from the shop already.
Only have the warranty card left, but without shop stamp.

Thanks bro, I checked everything...the sound produced is too soft, I set the volume to max already.

Never in my ICE life that I come to something so fragile... Even the Brother amp that I used last time can last for years....

Added on February 23, 2011, 10:45 amThe unit has been sent to service center.

They told me the unit is working fine, and now I am in deep sh1t....
