Actually, for the Dune...when you select the movie folder (containing Audio_TS and Video_TS), you have the option to play the movie or open it (meaning browse the folders).
If you select play, it will play like ordinary DVD (with menu of course)...if you Open means you wanna explore the folder.

If your DVD contains both DD and DTS...you can select either one and the Dune will play it with that audio.

For the Dune...DD and DTS is kacang putih...Dune was made for more than that...

Its a Dune bro...not some half baked player....
The cheapest with full support is Dune HD Smart D1
http://dune-hd.com/hd_players/current/133-...d-smart-d1.html
I think its RM800..not sure the latest price

Full menus are one of its specialty. As long as the Original file is not corrupted....It will play as if there it was a real disc....

Make sure that the movie file has DD/DTS audio, and Subtitles...if it only has DTS and English Subtitles...of course you can only set DTS and English Subs on the Dune.
Dune will not automatically look for Malay or Chinese Subs in the net.

If you are interested in the subtitles and audio parts...you can access it two ways...one is with the Disc Menu...another one using the remote..there is a button for Subs and Audio..

BDISO Menu (BDMV is similar):
[attachmentid=2027686]

[attachmentid=2027687]

DVD Video TS Menu
[attachmentid=2027688]

[attachmentid=2027693]

Sorry, I've got no other sample for the DVD files..I think you need to confirm with other ppl abt DVD menu (Subs, Audio etc)

Yes, if the file is not corrupted...100% same as Original Disc.

So you will be amaze that your player doesn't have a DVD or Bluray drive...but can still play it as if it really has one.

Some concert DVDs will have both DD and DTS in the same disc. Are u asking if the Dune can decode a DVD iso with both DD & DTS? If so, the answer is yes.

Usually....yes...depends on player also....but I can say 99% yes...although a 350mb file will never be same quality as 8Gb file even if up-scaled.

Yes it can, I tried on a DVDISO...DTS and DD is selectable from the Menu..or the shortcut button on the remote.

Then I extracted the Video_TS and Audio_TS...and the results are the same....all menus are accessible.
[attachmentid=2029608]

[attachmentid=2029609]

[attachmentid=2029610]

[attachmentid=2029611]

Audio is selectable as well from the DVD Menu or Remote button
[attachmentid=2029613]

Confirmation of DTS on the AVR
[attachmentid=2029614]

Confirmation of Dolby Digital on the AVR
[attachmentid=2029615]

Subtitles are selectable as well from the DVD Menu or Remote button
[attachmentid=2029616]

But seriously, getting a Dune to play DVD files? ...you should get nice - nice BDSIO stuff instead...

Well, for me BDMV and BDISO or DVDISO and DVDVideo_TS are exactly the same...nothing is compressed....like a 1:1 thing.
