Next wed qtr report out should be a short term critical point. And the announcement of CEO's "real action" will be the one critical point for all. From my looking at it, it seems like the management is doing something aggressively now. Just my view though, very high risk this one. 

ermm yah....
~seldom see directors/ceo make media announcements when they plan to buyback shares.. unless the plan to pay premium and buyback higher.. LOL
~from the way he says it.. it's like he plans to buy from open market... why not negotiate straight with selling funds ?
~he only intends to buy.. talk only, no action yet.. maybe he is testing market response...
~he refused to comment on why funds selling... why ? must not be something good...
~MEGB can always setup a sharebuyback scheme to support the price.. again.. actions speak louder than words.. imo share buyback can boost confidence a lot more than just "ngap.. ngap.. ngap.."
~i may also "consider" to buy if proper actions are taken... 

I don't like guessing what the CEO want to do.

I only want the company show me the money (make good profit), then give money made to me (dividend).

Action speaks louder.

Some of them venture into Resource based like coal mines with profit guarantee, and buying into smaller plantations in Indonesia, and selling off some manufacturing based low profit margin businesses.

In the end, whether you are comfortable or not with your selections.

First of all, we need a high income society like them.

Cheap  in Singapore you pay about s$ 40 for many mb speed ( like above 4mb , or above 10mb )

Our internet is one of the most expensive in the world, income level is also so so only.

They still have to buy backbone services from TM as I understand.

You got to know only  1 or 2 companies in Bolehland own sea cable links to other parts of the world and so on.

You do not just connect to the outside world through the open sky.  It is a No, not Yes.

i see that many people perceive that TM control 'almost' everything ... in reality i believe it's not so ...

you can choose to go to jaring or time.com for internet connectivity anytime ... if u want to have international connectivity u can go to time or NTT and other providers too (NTT do have office in Cyberjaya) ...

the only reason most people need to go to TM is just becos they have the widest coverage and last mile connectivity in Malaysia. other provider just don't have the financial muscle or do not see it as a must to roll out their own network through out the country. that's why time and maxis have their broadband at selected areas only (most of it are the 'profitable' area). and that's what heitech padu, redtone and even mobile telcos have been doing - using TM as the backbone so that they don't have to fork out CAPEX for network expansion.

they are not 'forced' to be affiliated to TM ... i think this is more safer route and cheaper solutions than having their own network ... and rumours that i heard in Jalenas case, it is the other way around ...
