use a debit card.. i think cimb do offer debit card... then link it to your paypal account.. and it will be charged directly to your cimb account when you make purchase using paypal..

im assuming cimb do offer debit card..

p/s: im using this method with my maybank debit card..

Use paypal-mol card.
get them at 7-11 or you can register at www.paypal-mol.com
Once you have paypal account linked with your paypal-mol account, you can transfer your fund from you CIMB to Paypal-MOL.
Once you have fund at paypal-MOL, you can pay online using Paypal that use your paypal-MOL as funding source.

Personally, I'd rather just use a debit card to transact through Paypal. For instance, my web hosting and Google Adwords payments are done through Paypal, and my Paypal account is linked directly to my debit card.

But then again, anakrantau's suggestion is another good method.

But just a note, some online payments with Mastercard debit cards (like my previous one with Standard Chartered) tend to be rejected by the BANK (Reason given: "our debit cards do not permit online trasactions". WTF.) So please do check in advance on whether you're able to transact online with the debit card first.

MOL Paypal's charges

RM2 charge for topping up onto the card, with a minimum of RM60 for each. Topping up through EON bank branches have the RM2 charge waiver.

I didnt know about this although i use paypal for more than 5 years
And great to see that there are more and more way for us to deposit/withdraw paypal's money nowadays in malaysia

they email me on 9.10.2010 to get the card.
btw u can use tunemoney, maybank, pb dc also,
other than that is accepted, but you need to apply cc before getting dc. lol

MOL Paypal started up on 19 July, 2010 (6 months or so now), and I foresee more average, working-class M'sians using this service in the coming months. Hmm... apparently when they started up, there were rebates and quite a few treats for gamers who used that service.

I do believe it was Al Rajhi (Bank with logo of a penis - Trollolol) that required you to have a CC before you can obtain a DC. I had no problems with obtaining a DC from RHB previously.

Just asking, if you use a CIMB Debit card and link it to your paypal account, how does the transaction work? They take money from our CIMB account instead of the paypal? So i dont need to top up for it right?

Yes, once you link your debit card or credit card to your PayPal account, as long as there are money in your bank (debit card), you can leave your PayPal RM0. It will directly count the bill to your card.

I suggest you go to RHB branches and ask for the solutions, as they have a bank account can be directly link to paypal and with no charge (or a small charge). Furthermore you can get enrol into cash rebate and some contest if sign up account with them.

Yea, I also heard that the best way to fund PayPal in Malaysia is via RHB. Sorry for being off topic, is it true that one can't open a new account if his address is not the in the same area as the bank?

Seems this rule now applicable for all bank. However, if you have something to proof that you are renting house or working near by, you can still open new account

How long does it takes to transfer from CIMB and other banks to paypal via top-up?

my question is the same as Kellyyhx, how long does CIMB takes to transfer fund to paypal? I just transferred fund from CIMB account to paypal via top up today & the amount doesn't show up in my Paypal account right away.

I'm confused 'cos the Top Up tab shows it'll transfer instantly.

Any idea if 7-11 is still selling those debit cards?

my Public Bank visa electron still working with paypal like a charm since I got it in 2006.

Are you sure? As i know malaysia paypal account is not able to top up your paypal from your bank account
By the way, if you want to purchase something, it is not necessary top up your paypal balance. If you purchase something more than your paypal balance, paypal will take from your debit card / credit card directly

Ive linked my cimb debit card to paypal, bought stuff on ebay and it deduct my cimb account directly. Need no topping up paypal account and stuffs. (Y)
