just bought 1 yesterday, the wifi version, and was told inside got GPS build in (edited: after some google, it seems don't have GSP for wifi version)

mayb you can try connect ur ipad to wifi, go out of your house/building (don't stay under the roof) then open google maps and see

when using iphone, i like to use papago as the i love the maps (malsing and malfreemaps)

I use Papago M7 HD - iTunes Store (u.s iTunes account only) for downloading application, cost about UDS 29.99

- GUI interface & user friendly interface, singapore and malaysia map from malfree map, even can cover Brunei area
- Free map update, Fast route calculation, intelligent search function,
- No need connect to internet wifi/3g
- Navigation through 2D/3D, Day and Night Mode for display.
- Very nice cause got Visual Alarm for Speed Camera (M'sia Police Speedtrap Camera)
- POI interface easy to use, nearby POI, favourite Pin Point, etc.

This papago didn't use AGPS because accuracy AGPS are not reliable enough.

Personally i rate this 4.5 / 5 Star, cause some of interface a bit confusing, and map zoom out is limited.

I find papago M7 HD quite slow, other than that, it does the job.
