Thickness is never an issue, in fact you would feel more comfortable with it.

Well if thickness doesnt make a difference...the fnatic pad wouldnt be 4mm thick like the goliathus.
Most regular SS ones are either 2mm or 6mm...
2mm is ok if ur table is perfectly flat else u will notice it...6mm for me is just too thick...so 4mm it is
