When you failed to do certain moves, the best way is practice more and overcome it, instead of avoid it. sweat.gif Smash is a must in badminton, unless your opponent is very strong in defense against smashes or they are too weak even drop shot can kill the shuttle. Please la, though this is /k/, what we are doing here is giving the best of us to have a good game. Not simply giving craps opinion LOL LOL LOL LOL there like you did.  yawn.gif
Bro, you mistaken with what has been expressed. It's a change of game play. What do you mean "...giving crap opinions"? The fella is weak in smashes and with 7/10 is under net...Do you really want him to play smashes? What Hideo Kojima suggested was a change in game play. From smashing, try to mix a little with net play or maybe placing shots.

Are these suggestions crappy? It's like learning to drift. There's so many techniques available. If you are not comfortable with power over drift, you can try e-braking, maybe feint drift. I don't see anything wrong with it. It's a matter of preference and change of style. I do agree that being a good badminton player, you need to learn smashing, besides drop shot, back-hand flick or smash, cross court smash so on and so forth.

I'm sure everyone in badminton looking for a fun session. I'm sure meisterlim, devince, or maybe you can share some tips to others as well.

juhu, lu ai trolled lang sila go elsewhere pl0x... sleep.gif
lu see anybody or even uncle say litle little thing also lu ai trolled kau him...

this all is just misunderstanding, Hideo Kojima just didn't write in a detail way and chrisling misunderstand his statement.
So just chill bah.. doh.gif doh.gif
I'm just here for fun. Anyway, it's a misunderstanding. As simple as that. I don't think that constitute trolling. Maybe being uptight or something. Let's have fun, shall we?

@ meisterlim

What is the name/term used for the shot that's taken "under" the waist height (something like a pendulum movement)? It's pretty much like the backhand stroke but backhand is performed on "upper" height. It's kind of fun way to return the shuttle in a difficult angle/area.

You got any idea of the name/term? I was browsing around but couldn't get the name...

Here's the typical Overhead Backhand Strokes diagram:

user posted image

While this is the one that I've mentioned. It's pretty much hard to execute the move but I found it when it's hard to perform the above mentioned Overhead Backhand Strokes, I'll use this technique which is rather fun. I added a blue coloured arrow for easier to understand. What's the name/term for the stroke? I used that before but I want to learn more. Anyone?
