my guess was your plastic bracket melted under the hot sun. it then cracked when you try to wind down.
thus, all you heard is cracking plastic sound which blocked the glass.
you should get it replaced with steel type. lesser noise insulation but it last the car's life.

if u not using it for long time, ya. they use plastic for sound insulation but forget malaysia is a tropical country and plastic can get hard after long hot day and cool night.

quite normal for any car with plastic bracket which was park under prolonged hot sun.
price of metal bracket with new motor is around 180 with labour(last year price).
better change to metal type and diy with some soundproofing.

mileage dosent tell the stories... must see the car condition eg: bushes and others wear and tear.... it can be 50k mileage if his meter KO maybe in 2008 or 2009 then buy new meter and run again for 50k lols... steering and gear knob will tell u the car mileage too... if the steering got slightly wear means it is 100k edi

use any sound dampening material. the easiest is 10mm self-adhesive superflon. since metal bracket only cover certain area, use the superflon tocover the holed area( door), another simple way is using 6mm superflon and cotton waste to cover the panel. for the smaller holes, use the bitumen strip. 3 layer is the best treatment thou.

hi guys,
I am in a process of purchasing a waja 05 direct owner. May I know the process/ procedure of purchasing a car?
Is a used car company necessary in this process?
The bank will only deal with the used car company on loan, etc etc...
If possible please list down the step-by-step process.
thanks and hopefully I join lyn's waja group soon smile.gif
