QUOTE(PowerSlide @ May 14 2011, 01:36 AM) tomorrow 15th may celebrating my waja 9th anniversary haha We all too enjoy it..but my mileage is much higer than you, now clocking almost to 200k KM..in 9 years no major issue, nth much break too in this last few years..its very much reliable mechanically but 9 years old alot wear and tear..need to change 4 shocks, some suspension like arm and bushing and mounting and i think good to go for few more years..also didnt do alot mileage..only clock 97K++ of good km until today..as for fuel consumption RM60 of 95 get me get me around 280 to 350km everytime but its expected as only running around town start stop traffic things i really enjoy is the handling, its still a joy turning the steering everyrtime all these years |

QUOTE(blo0dLuSt @ May 14 2011, 02:53 AM) lol. guys. glok2 sound while slow corner and thru uneven road is lower arm izzit? and how much is one? worn out / hardened bushes on arms and arb. the non pu bushes of arb is less than 8 bucks each. there are 4 of 'em if am not mistaken. pu ones cost more than 15 bucks each. workmanship cost 50 bucks or so. a good local lower arm with bushes cost around 9x bucks each. pu bushes on arms cost around 60 bucks each. btw, check the past post for 'carrefour syndrome'. changing all the bushes and arms / worn out mounting will make your car feels like a new one |

your car need to be jack up and the bushes condition examined.
the price breakdown was of last year. now could be more expensive. depending on whether you're getting the compatible or original proton. any workshop in kl should be able to offer a reasonable labour charge even if you bring your own parts. i used to frequent those workshops in cheras maluri area but since i i changed engine and also, acquired another ride, i only service my car in sunway and wing hin auto. |

Does anyone know good mechanic in repairing waja problem? i have the same problem too and i still haven't fix yet...i checked with the mechanic and he told me that my pillow mount is cracked..maybe you can try asking any mechanic to check your pillow mount..one pillow mount cost you around RM 80+ if i not mistaken..did you change you suspension? hmmm....anyone know is there a big difference pumping ron95 and ron97 for waja 1.6? I am feeling the pain pumping ron97 which is RM2.90 and ron 95 is RM1.90....big difference on the price.. |

if you bring the car, foreman can differentiate / check whether it was the sound that comes from a crack absorber mounting, worn out bushes on arms or absorber(unit, plate and spring)problem. good absorber mounting(not original proton) cost in the region of 55 bucks each while those original proton oe cost around 95 bucks. i've tried both. no different.
btw, 4g18p run fine on ron95. not much different. acceleration lag is almost not noticeable. while i was still on 4g18p, caltex was the smoothest ron95 around. bhp's ron95 allow engine rev until 6.5k but engine sound is very rough. |
