Congratulation to SAF and the players for the important win. A really entertaining game, coupled with few nice football movements.
The game was the opposite of the last anti-climatic meeting where we drew 0-0. Man City was a constant threat in the form of David Silva and Tevez but it was the former that gave Vidic and Smalling most trouble. His movement, run and pass often troubled our CBs. But i must give credit to both Vidic and Smalling for the their effort to defend the goal against the multi-million strike force of Man City. city's goal was inevitable as it was deflected. Our team played well although guilty of some missed and sloppy passes. Quite surprising that in the 1st half Giggs' passing wasn't up to his normal standard. but luckily he picked up and improve for 2nd half. Scholes did well although maybe panicking a bit. Nani's goal was superb as he did brilliantly to recieve the pass from Giggs which caught Zabaleta with a surprise. Rooney's goal was fantastic. A bit lucky with the deflection but a first timer scissor kick was a genius. |
