I wonder how do those UFO catcher machines work over there... are they scam machines like the ones we have here for plushies? I'm sick of those scam machines whose claws would move very quickly and shake all over the place, causing the caught prize to drop anyway.

Ofcourse. They're usually bundled up in a whole set without the plastic egg shells. Saves space and material used (they reuse the egg shells). Their plastic egg shells are hard, durable and HUGE compared to those crap gashapon machines we have here. I have 3 of them :D

I used to saw an authentic gashapon machine at Malacca, though. The machine only takes tokens, 2 tokens, that is, (though there'll still be jackasses who insert 50 cent coins and thus jamming the coin slot, causing the promoters to eventually deploy guard to prevent such jackassness from happening again) that you can buy for RM2 per token at the counter. There were 4 of the machines, 2 dispensing sailor moon crap, the other 2 dispensing Super Robot Wars crap (which I bought 3). All 4 of them are for some promotion thing in Mahkota Parade for some children/teenage wear and accessories.

That happened some 8 years back, though

It's a resin figurine. It's already out way before Haruhi got made into an animu (the figurine was last shown at WonderFest Feb this year). Made based on the insert art in the novels.

We all already knew about it . Kaiyodo sure took a looonnnnnggg time producing this one. I remember seeing its early prototypes of the Eva series way back in 2004's winter WHF.

I'd get a Getter-1 from them, though I somehow have a feeling that the face would be screwed up if their quality control isn't strict enough (some picthurs of convention preview Getter-1s have its face painted unsharply, I can see a light smearing of its eye paints)

Revoltech Dante is obese, has a ridiculously broad abdomen, has HUEG hands, has a weird face.

It's simply made of lose and fail compared to the slim, tall Dante in DMC3

Use photoshop and compress those images or something. They should only be 80KB max per picthur (instead of the current 250+KB).

k, so you paid RM90 (lol RM89.90 is a gimmick, gimmicks are dumb) for the Dante? I find the price ridiculously high, given how the Revoltech series are supposed to retail for only 2000yen (around RM68).

Ofcourse Dante's joints won't feel loose. That's the whole point of Revoltech (revolver joints, whatever that means). Toys in Malaysia are cheap, if you know where to find them >_>

The main issue I have with Dante is that he's horribly proportioned. The hands are huge (popeye hands! D:), the legs are thick, and his body is thick. Though after seeing quite some picthurs of him, taken by from Japanese toy fansites, I'm kinda convinced that it's because of the angle of the figurine when its photos were taken. Although Dante really have an issue with the face.

Anyway, despite how expensive it is, I think I'll get a Getter-1 sooner or later. My love for Getter-1 and Ryoma is just that much that I wouldn't mind spending an extra 20 bucks for a figurine of it. Kaiyodo would win moar profits from me if they would come out with a Revoltech figurine for other super robots, like Daimos (oh god I love Daimos), Mazinger Z, Mazinkaizer, or f***ing DANCOUGAR!
