Not sure should it be enabled.. I've tried enabled it. Guess what? Quadrant score slightly lower and battery consumption slightly higher than turning them off! Maybe this happens only on mine..  hmm.gif Btw this was tested on k13b

in progress now. stock ROM from kies + speedmod 13b + enable recommended tweaks + enable lagfix (ext4).

quarant score 1329. not bad.

i hope battery last longer.

seem that my sgs dated 2010.05.28. any gps fix advice?

thanks again!

i did as what silentser advise. flash ZSJPE modem. it will change the baseband version.

GPS signal lock seems better but not fast enough (tested indoor).

summary:
1. GPS on SGS is poor. bad design perhaps?
2. GPS aids give us XTRA feature like in previous samsung phone. it help GPS module to lock signal faster but due to poor GPS module, SGS still takes some time to lock. thus GPS aids is some what useless. uninstall! (result may varies for you)

now stick with ZSJPE modem and montor the performance.

i'm sick to get my sgs to work with kies 2 on my win xp machine.
what has been done so far:
1. install the driver (as in first page)
2. delete long extension filename name
3. install .net framework 4
4. install windows media player 11
5. set to twlauncer on every connection

still kies 2 give error phone not supported.

no problem with win7. bad bad samsung...

hi. this my story...

i've use sgs for 3 weeks now. before i subscribe to data plan, my sgs can last for one day with moderate to high usage of call, messaging browsing, market and some music, gps and games.

now, i already have unlimited data plan with celcom. this is what i'm currently on:
Attached Image

- speedmod tweak: enable all recommended
- lagfix: enable (ext4)
- BLN: disable
- backlight: 0% while indoor, auto while outdoor
- background data: enable (2G & 3G with HSPA disable)

i have to charge my sgs average twice a day.

these are mainly my activities
- call
- sms. alot of sms received. 70-80 per day
- work email (push)
- gmail
- twitter
- market
- yahoo messenger
- word with friends smile.gif

i believed sgs battery can last longer. 1500mAh is a lot of capacity.

thinking of buying new (and original) battery soon. this is feedback from samsung:

any recommendation guys?

thanks!
