before this i'm a darky's rom user.. been using it since october last year..
last 4 days.. just turn to stock rom.. XWJS5 + speedmod kernel..

why i change? no reason.. lol
means.. if i want to use the voice recorder.. need to flash to custom back la?

for sure custom rom more better..
when i use darky's rom.. i didn't apply speedmod.. already smooth.. if apply speedmod? will be more good la right? hehe..

but now i'm using stock rom smooth but.. speedmod applied.. + all tweak enabled..

i've been using darky's for a long time..
then when darky's came out with the new version 9.3.. kinda interestd with it also.. but at that time.. wanna wait some feedback..
at the same time.. some of our forumer mention some good from doc's rom.. and also wait for the feedback..

then after wait n wait.. lazy to wait liao.. suddenly new firmware XWJS5 out.. boom.. flash to stock rom la senang.. haha..

Added on February 24, 2011, 2:30 ambtw.. if want to use stock rom.. recommend you to use speedmod + all tweak enable.. and use other launcher such as ADW.. LP.. coz this will help your phone become more smooth..

try to factory reset ur phone..

just do factory reset (usually people will do this after finished flash)
Setting > Privacy > Factory Data Reset

rooting mean give super access for your phone..
like PC.. administrator is the biggest access for your PC..

so.. with rooting, if u want to do this.. do that.. there's no restriction.. in other word is "jailbreak"..
rooting is not formatting / reset your phone..
mean.. rooting will never touch ur data or else..

nice finding.. means.. this one can apply to stock rom is it?

crack? err.. there's no need to crack to upgrade version.. coz it's free and legal..
or maybe your friends try to crack the Kies?

well.. it's simple.. just upgrade by flashing the rom.. dload the firmware.. and flash it via odin..

SPB Shell really suitable for our SGS..
smooth.. good UI.. good look.. good animation..

no problem at all using this UI even its BETA..
but still need an improvement in term of feature.. such as widget.. they should add more widget..

overall i can say.. SPB Shell really give a new look for our android..

mine work fine.. it only ask when i restart my phone..

the best launchers for me is.. ADW Launcher EX..

try go to
Setting > Wireless and network
1) Make sure your APN setting is correct
2) Enable "Use packet data" inside "Mobile Networks" option

then go to
Messaging apps > Setting
1) Enable Auto-retrieve (you can disable it, but you need to press download button when u received the MMS)
2) Enable Roaming auto-retrieve

i'm using stock rom..
so far, lot of forumer here use Darky's rom v9.3 if not mistaken..

but.. since yesterday, lot of us keep try the new launcher with new UI which is SPB Shell..

you can reset the default by go to Manage Application > SPB Shell > Clear Default..

my SPB only ask for activate if i turn off and on back my phone..
during using it.. no prob at all
