@ CrossX. I have tried the files downloaded from your site. It's 1.1.0.0 version while the link at front page is 1.3.0.0. I manage to install the phone. But I got the notification prompting that... root unsucessful device is rebooting. After reboot, my phone respond has become even more sluggish. Like snail!! I really need urgent help here! Anyone please??? (for your info, I remove the SD Card when I use z4root)
I have redownload the file. And this time, the file is functioning. And I manage to install z4root and root my device successfully. I think previously, the file I download from the first page link file size is not tally. I just don't know why. Anyway, thanks for those who provided me with a lot of helps.

Sorry. Just noobs and be cautious. Why the apps list in my Titanium Backup under the backup/restore icon: Some are red, some are white, and some are green? What does that mean? Besides, how to backup huh? Click on batch or legend? or create updater.zip?

QUOTE(gmhafiz @ Feb 6 2011, 01:35 PM) white: user app - your installed app red: system app - that are located in /system/app folder green: data To backup, go to menu > batch > Backup all user apps. > click run > run the batch operation. If you want to make an updated backup, choose Backup all new apps & newer version. Added on February 6, 2011, 1:42 pmBTW, animated gif works in dolphin and xscope. I remembered that I said it was not supported. Yay! Great advice. Thanks.

I have updated to Speedmod kernel K12U-500. Seems better than normal kernel, but still a bit sluggish. Is it because I install too many apps (~144 apps) ???? Can Do anything to improve on that? Any Sifu here?
Besides, I'm looking to get a car charger, second battery and even dock charger? Any suggestion?

QUOTE(Fornaxlife @ Feb 7 2011, 02:40 PM) yeah on darky's v9.2. smooth with k12u kernel, but drains a lot battery, not sure if it's rom or kernel related based on froyo 2.2.1 and there's no chinese input keyboard included Oh my god. In that case, I can just stand and watch. Do you know about Official 2.2.1 ROM? Is it only Euro version available? If it is, I suppose also no Chinese keyboard included, right?

QUOTE(Fornaxlife @ Feb 7 2011, 02:56 PM) As said by the above forumer, you can install chinese kb apk. I'm not that sure about the stock 2.2.1, but I do not think chinese kb is included, as it's not for the Asia region Hmm..... the Chinese KB seems to be old version. Being used in Eclair. But No Harm trying. Any other difference between Darky ROM vs Official ROM you can notice? QUOTE(h3alm3 @ Feb 7 2011, 03:18 PM) is there any mirror for speedmod download? Why do you ask? The link from front page is good enough.

QUOTE(alvinz @ Feb 7 2011, 03:40 PM) chinese input? ... just go on market search for Google Pinyin ... been using and liking it over the default chinese input .. I know about this and I have installed it. But I still prefer the Samsung DioPen Chinese IME. Added on February 7, 2011, 3:54 pmQUOTE(Fornaxlife @ Feb 7 2011, 03:30 PM) different interface, darky's rom has a gingerbread look which is nicer darky's rom is of course smoother than stock rom it has extended power menu as well, which makes it convenient to go into recovery/download mode Gingerbread Interface? Oh My, how does it look like? Any Screenshot? Still support widgets from 2.2? As well as live wallpapers? Added on February 7, 2011, 4:05 pmShit, Just check my SGS with Quadrant Score. I'm going to uninstall the quandrant score. But wow, You are on Darky 9.2 - Extreme version. I suppose it's not meant for odin3 update? Odin only update with resurrection version, right?

Just Curious, can we change the UI in darky ROM to twlauncher? I think I saw someone saying that we can switch between Speedmod Kernel and Voodoo. Is it true?

I'm finally on Darky ROM 9.2 (Resurrection version) thanks to all sifus, especially Fornaxlife and CrossX.
But I don't really like the theme. Can I change it? How about the start-up logo? I like Samsung SGS original one. Anyone can help? Last but the least, I noticed that the swype keyboard version is older than my original Samsung ROM, can we update that?
