QUOTE(rublik @ Feb 12 2011, 03:59 PM) I paid RM4800 for the rims and the tyres are RM545 each. Old rims taken for RM1080. Fixed it at SS Pro in Sunway. They give a good price for the tyres and rim. Just be careful about the alligment. They told me I need to adjust my camber front and back. I said nevermind and when back to my hometown Muar. Checked here and no need alligment of cambers needed. At the moment there is no stock for these rims with the distributor. If you want, need to order and it takes around 1 week for it to arrive from Singapore |

right on..inspira labelled as copycat lar what lar..but somehow or rather, the have no qualm pretending theirs as lancer gt "evolution"..come on lar..grow up..its a normal mid size japanese sedan, not something exclusive like pagani zonda/huayra or anything..
i like my inspira..its a good car for its price...im not claiming it to pawn any other cars or whatever..bottomline is, why does these ppl even bother, it not their money in the 1st place..everyone have their own choice.. QUOTE(XCInspire @ Feb 14 2011, 06:15 PM) We will soon out number the lancers... So there is no difference in principle if lancer or inspira covert to evo X bodykit rite? But we pay abt 23K lesser... (lgx now offer at 113K only) but no auto cruise or rain/light sensor, also smaller rims. |

hi bro poadster, need ur favor, can you post a pic of it installed on your car? and can u tell me the exact price that you get it for (if ur not comfortable to post it here, can u PM me?)..i assume yours is the twin locking system right?
QUOTE(Poadster @ Feb 13 2011, 12:26 AM) Dark, here you go, review was mine after installation, was posted here earlier by Shorty, but here since you requested it... Review: The build quality of the lock is very good, with solid and thick steel base. Installation is quick (as the sifu seem very used to installing these locks) with minimal removal of parts (only the cover below the steering wheel is removed). The lock base is screwed into the chassis (I cant see from outside as the installer had to twist and contour his body to slide under the dashboard) and tightened with 3 screws. Finally, the ignition cut-ff is placed by "plug and play" to the existing socket, and the cover is replaced. Using the lock is really simple, just pull the handle till it clicks and its done. This will then prevent the brake pedal to be fully depressed and prevents the gear shifter from being moved from P (brake pedal shift lock system). For more security, you can engage the second lock by depressing it in. Unlocking is done in reverse, if double locked - the depressed lock must be unlocked first as the "handle" lock will not be released. The "handle" lock will snap return to the base (spring loaded) once unlocked, and the brake pedal can be fully depressed. The ignition cut off works as indicated. You can still turn the ignition switch to "ON" but the starter wont come on "ACC" if the lock is in place. All in, its worth install the lock as it will add another theft prevention security to your car, and most importantly with minimal installation hassle and no "reworking" of any existing car wiring that could void your warranty. Price: RM2XX (other places I have surveyed - RM350 - 400 for double lock, RM300 - 350 for single lock) Quality: Solidly built with thick and heavy steel. 3 pcs of keys provided. Value for money: 4.5 of 5 |

in short, no such issues with my inspira..no pinging..fittings are as it is..etc etc..anyway, didnt see any update from the complainer, its been 3month since, somehow that fella went MIA, in which case makes me sceptical about his claims..
the absorber "nyek" sound is there, but very2 mild, and happened during early morning/cold/wet condition...which is odd to say the least..but shortly after a short drive, the sound is gone..thats about it..as someone mentioned before, its got something to do with the rubber seats at the spring/absorber area there... just go do armchair research (read: Google!) about the characteristic of the 4B11/4B10 engine, its not the most quiet nor does it the most refined engine around (a bit louder, etc etc)..having said that, it is a good modern engine.. pinging is where the detonation inside the cylinder happened when it shouldnt be happening, meaning it gonna give u an effect of misfiring, small detonating sound (hence the name pinging), lack of responsiveness from the engine, jerky ride and other..and no, my inspira DOES NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM AT ALL...normally pinging happened when the compression ratio in the engine too high, or wrong air fuel mixture, wrong sparkplug temperature, bad fuel quality, etc etc....i tried Shell ron95, Shell Vpower, Petronas ron95&97, all seems fine..no pinging whatsoever... QUOTE(rubrubrub @ Feb 18 2011, 11:58 AM) inspiras suffer this problem. are anyone of you suffering from this problem too? http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1758420/+0entry40107722 |

whats riled me up is when ppl hear/read issues on proton car, they immediately jump around like mad waving their hands around (without even getting to the bottom of the issue)..
proton are in no way without it faults or flaws, however all cars have problem..just go around ask ur friends that use other car makes..checkout honda/toyota/kia/merc/beemer thread..see the owners complains about issues on their cars.. action to be taken? go to SC, lodged a proper complaint..claim warranty for it..(rather then whining around for nothing).. as far as im concerned, different folks, different strokes..it a matter of personal preferences...as things usually does, everything has it pro's & con's...at the end, it depend on personal decision & taste.. myself prefer the DIY method using Meguiars, because im a bit particular on stuff..furthermore im not as prosperous as u guys lar..rm10 per hour only..hahahaah... anyway, being serious, it a personal satisfaction thing..some ppl like to do it themselves, some send to the professional..no need to argue about this ya? |

car detailing is a good upper body workout i tell ya! damm tiring after the whole process..as i said before, im the kinda person who likes doing stuff DIY style..SG have it benefits too, for the convenience of it, time & energry saver (wanna hear updates from the bro's who SG'ed their car, how it holding up after a long term use)
i waxed once or twice a month...waxing is ok, its just add a clear coat of wax on top of your paint..excessive/too frequent polishing will eat up the clear coat of the paint..only polish when it really really neccesary...anyway, do make sure the car really clean when polishing/waxing...i wash the car again & again after each step (wash twice-wipe-dry-polish-wash-wipe-dry-wax-sealer)..i use meguairs product for interior too (dash, leather, etc)..these stuff available at parkson / ace hardware / retailers or can buy direct online at : http://www.supremecare.com.my/store/ anyway, we're all here to share info & learn new things..so, no bashing/uneccessary argument please...everyone has their own preference.. |

hey bro, im no expert, but here goes, since ur having a silver car, my suggestion are:
1)wash using Megs NXT shampoo, use a microfibre mitts 2)rinse thoroughy & wipe dry using microfibre cloth (these microfibre cloth & wash mitts dont really need to be expensive one, those rm10-20 stuff will do) step 3-6 are strictly optional, only when the car have scratches or paint in bad condition (since our car still new, i suggest skip these) 3)claying 4)wash again 5)wipe dry 6)polish using Megs Ultimate Compound or ScratchX 7)wash again 8)wipe dry 9)wax using Megs NXT, then buff out 10)let cure for few hours 11)seal using Megs M21 synthetic sealant (also wax, btw, u can go straight to sealant without wax, ur choice) 12)buff clean with our weathers, and parking outside all the time, for me it can last 1month..water beads off easily and stain dont really stick on the surface.. and yeah, its a pain and all, but put it this way, its damm good exercise and very2 satisfying after getting the result..probably will be like karate kid with all those upper body movement..hehehe.. for more details, u can refer here : http://www.meguiars.com.my/forum2/ QUOTE(cle900706 @ Feb 20 2011, 11:44 AM) bro mosar.... mind to post how u take car of u baby in details? like, step 1 use wat, step 2 use wat.... i read b4, LYN got 1 post teach how to take car of the exterior juz using outside products like meguairs...... parkson got sell? then should go pay a vist at pyramid ><! wow.... more and more owners liao!!
