probably because u didnt shout. if not only players 20 blocks around u one will hear if u didnt shout. type "!" infront of the message.

e.g.

"!hello guys"

"!i didnt wash my under690wear today"

that. i dunno. happened to me before i bought the game tho. using ehem2 version
