For those who are importing game from Japanese launch lineup:

Uncharted - English or Japanese voiceover and subtitles
Everybody’s Golf 6 - Fully in Japanese
Little Deviants - Fully in Japanese
Ridge Racer - Japanese but has semi-English menus
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 - English menus with Japanese subtitles
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend - English menus with Japanese subtitles

Thanks for the info. Going to Osaka in 48 hours, so this info helps. Fighting and racing games, I can live with Japanese menus. Not adventure, RPG games.

Managed to get Near to work for a while, then spits out errors about location not available.

Anybody got Near working on their 3G Vita? Running Maxis iPad data 3G sim here.

Disregard previous post. The GPS/location feature works now. It's very picky when it comes to coverage. Need to stand on really open sky area, instead of just by the window.

Next question would be if the Near feature works when the user travels outside of the region he signed up with. For travelers who travel a lot, if it means enabling Near = having to carry multiple memory cards with multiple PSN region accounts, that's worth a forehead slap.

Or empty pockets with multiple PSVs in possession. Trying to log in into my US account and see if "Near" still works here.

EDIT: Disaster averted. It works. It's just very picky. The good thing about it though, the address is eerily accurate. I'm not sure I wanna share my location with strangers without proper filters.

Hence, why Near users have to be 18 and above. Great for hookups though tongue.gif

My point exactly. tongue.gif

Gonna put "Near" to the test next month. Got a Tokyo trip, so it'll be a trip to Yodobashi Akihabara to see how creepy I can be "Near" everyone. tongue.gif

Anybody going "Near" anywhere today? Will be around LYP, KLCC, and Pavilion, just checking if there's anyone "Near" these places to make use of the "Near" feature.

"Near" works almost regularly now. Even in secluded area. Only need good internet connection to do so now.

I'd only need Foursquare on this, and it's enough for me. Facebook and Twitter covered already.

For those on Maxis 3G sim card, try the Unet APN. It "sticks" better than than the "Net" APN. Probably the reason why "Near" kicks me out when trying to obtain location. No internet no PSN, no "Near".

Cameras on the PSV has very muted color and catches pretty low light. Was in the ERL trying to "illuminate the back of the parchment" puzzle in U:GA, and not enough luminance to complete the puzzle. Had to turn on the flash on my iPhone to get 100% complete.

The "smeared" display is apparent on mine when viewing a darkened screen when the game loads between scenes. Characteristics of an OLED screen, I guess had to live with it. When the screen is lit up with game images, it's beautiful though.

Finished "Uncharted: Golden Abyss". Next will be playing it by chapters to collect the turquoise artifacts and other mystery discoveries.

The world-ending reason why the "final treasure" isn't supposed to be brought out is kinda lame though.

Who is neonnnw_jp? The rest of you I've added in, matkacak, fongvita and prazoleboy. Although this HK account will be temporary until I get my US Vita in February.

LoLs, apparently the english games will come out first like 1 - 2 weeks before the release of the US Set PSVita.

So anyone who has bought a set already can buy the games when they release during 10th - 20th Feb

Well yeah, that's the inevitable fact unless you plan to stick on to HK PSN.

I still haven't buy my set yet so most probably I'd be using either US / MY PSN either way
*
My plans exactly. The moment US PSN is live on Vita, I'm ditching my HK PSN like smelly socks!

LoL smelly socks.

I'm getting the 3G version so later I can just tether to my iPhone, is that possible?
I know the iPhone hotspot feature
*
That's reverse tether isn't it? IF you're planning to use the 3G connection from your iPhone then it works. I'm not sure if the PSV can provide tethering to an iPhone.

Tired of waiting for the availability of the 32GB PS Vita memory card locally. Gonna get mine in Tokyo in two days time for Y9500. Also to see if there are other interesting peripherals for the Vita, particularly battery chargers. I've a 11,600mah external battery but the Vita doesn't seem to want to charge unless it is kept from going to sleep. Once asleep, the Vita will not be charged by the external battery pack via USB.

Don't be. Think of it as STALKER, it's a radioactive zone there, no matter what the Japanese government said. Have to avoid touching public open railings, and if I did, have to sterilize by pressurized water. Just gonna go to Yodobashi, grab the stuff and get the hell out. Going and spending time out in the open isnt advisable still, even this long after that reactor fallout.

Radiation went that far?

Company precautionary details says so. Them Jap government may say that it's under control or the radiation is minimal, but that's to stop the hemorrhaging of visitors from getting worse. The same like how our government says the air quality is clear and while, while I flew in through 3000 feet and smell burning smoke coming to land into KLIA. If you've the chance to listen to the actual weather report, KLIA is perpetual haze over it. Guess what the air quality is in KL? Yup.
