All the PS vita bundles will rise in price, i don't think you can get RM1150 PSV wifi bundle considering some sellers like heavyarm and even qisahn has raised their price in tandem with the potential shortage. expect additional RM100 or so.
Also, the flaws of the PSV mentioned earlier are pretty minor to cancelling buying a PSV, - the freezing issue can be fixed with a system update, and it is not a widespread problem meaning only a small number of psv owners have that problem. - No manuals in games is a bonus, whoever says no is an idiot because the move is meant to save on not only costs, but trees! i don't even know how that became a complaint. - Battery is internal but removable, you just have to unscrew some things and you will be able to reset it. - Game price same as PS3 but significantly shorter?? WHAT? where do people even get this news? first of all, this is JAPAN, all their games are relatively more expensive (just look at their console price). Wait for the US release to get a proper pricing. SECONDLY, Uncharted : Golden Abyss is 10-12 hours long, that alone is longer than Uncharted 3. Further, Gravity Rush is 13-15 hours long for it's campaign alone, that's already as long if not longer than a standard PS3 game. I believe the other pointed "flaws" were already addressed. You should all check out neogaf's PSV thread, where it's more informative with better discussion as opposed to rumor mills and silly assumptions. PSV is getting pretty good responses - |

QUOTE(samiscool2000 @ Dec 23 2011, 09:56 AM) I already created an account for HK PSN, and the store has most of the availables PSP and PSVITA games. how much are the Vita games on download? are they generally cheaper? how bout PSP games? The store price is around RM50 cheaper than the games i bought in JP But i couldnt buy any games through HK PSN because of the region lock on credit card. I think i need a HK CC to buy those games. QUOTE(mobc1990 @ Dec 26 2011, 03:58 PM) if malaysia gameshop no repair ps vita from other country??Not Sony malaysia,i mean gameshop in malaysia...coz i bought my PSP SLim from singapore and i went to my local game shop in JB,they still repair my set but with fees of course... can also, but if no warranty from local shops means i have to pay for the whole repair. If it is something big like say, screen malfunction, which would cost a bomb, i might as well spend the extra money on shipping costs. but if its minor, then i'll just send to a local shop. IIRC heavyarm is the only distributor with a warranty set locally. But currently would be difficult to repair since it's new and all so spare parts have yet to come by. I feel like doing an unboxing, but i guess there's too many of that already hehe This post has been edited by defectivelasagna: Dec 26 2011, 05:59 PM |

QUOTE(gitarburuk @ Dec 26 2011, 07:53 PM) are psn psp game are cheaper? Wht psp game tht hv best graphic? It will be gempak when ply on vita.,, PSN PSP games are cheaper if you already have the UMD, by using the UMD passport program, they will let you buy back the game you alrdy own on PSP for a discount. So otherwise price is like normal i guess. But Vita has this feature called bilinear filtering where it smoothens and improves PSP graphics, like so : |

hmm it seems that you can download a game, switch accounts (which you have to reset) , and play that game as well like the PS3. Some demos won't work on different region accounts in addition to games that require online passes like hot shots golf 6. So this means
- If you intend to gameshare, it's possible, but you must check if that game works across different region accounts or not (online pass, etc.). But yet, we still don't know if they allow multiple Vita game downloads or not. But at least you can switch accounts without wiping your memory card |

QUOTE(sjneow @ Dec 27 2011, 12:51 AM) QUOTE So a bunch of stores were selling imports on 25th and I caved in. Quick and dirty impressions: - UI is very fast and responsive but also a lot of animation crap that I could live without - thanks for nothing Apple and smart-phones. Dramatically better usability then PSP though, can actually do things like hop out of a game, turn on my BT headset, come back and continue where I left of. - Screen exceeded my expectations. Now I find it painful to use any LCD device in the house anymore. It's like 10 years didn't happen and CRT just now got a real Upgrade. - Virtua Tennis was the real wow moment - it's the true showpiece for Screen and the tech. it looks outstanding(sharp-native+AA, 60fps), surpassing the PS3 version in terms of wow factor by far. It went from not-on radar to instant buy for me. Random tidbits: - If you change the account, you don't need to touch your memory card. - PSN downloads are not region/account locked after they've been activated sos Another one from here QUOTE So I'm back on my UK account with the Uncharted, Dynasty Warriors demo from the HK store and Virtua Tennis 4, Ridge Racer and onother one, (can't remember) from the JP store all working. Other demo's like Little D, Twitter won't start and say you must redownload, or you could change back to the account from which it was downloaded and it will work. I'll prob stick to my UK account now as I've got a couple of games and the few good demo's working. Also when you copy over games from PS3 to Vita they get removed from the PS3 so back up to PC or you'll have to re download!!!! |

QUOTE(L.S.D @ Dec 27 2011, 10:40 AM) Hmm, it is saying that he can copy the files over from his PS3 to Vita.......not sure whether this is applicable to VIta games only or PSP also yep, it still remains a mystery. But it is confirmed however that you dont need to wipe your memory card to switch accounts. UPDATE : another user reported game sharing QUOTE Originally Posted by shidoshi: "Wait, so I could activate my Japanese PSN account on my Vita, purchase some JPN PSP titles, switch the Vita over to my US account, and those PSP games will still run?" Yes, that's what I did. I have downloads from both Jpn and HK store on the same card, and they still ran after switching to US account. I cannot say if it works for everything because I have no way of adding funds so I was only able to test this with Vita Demos so far (PSP Demos are not recognized by Vita at all). Regardless, memory cards are most certainly not attached to accounts (they appear to be attached to hardware once you format it). Originally Posted by vercity82: I thought this wasn't the case as want to grab some games and apps but doing ps3 transfer it said that I couldn't because it wasn't the account I purchased what's your PSN mate I will add you. You can't transfer between different accounts. See above - stuff that was already there still worked under different accounts. Originally Posted by DCharlie: "5. Simply put, you need to be logged in and activated with the right account to install content first, so there's no exploits with that really, just a way to potentially share activations like on PS3. Anyway - I can't test with any PSP games(and demos don't show up on Vita same source as previous post. This post has been edited by defectivelasagna: Dec 27 2011, 12:00 PM |

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Dec 29 2011, 12:06 AM) Or empty pockets with multiple PSVs in possession. Trying to log in into my US account and see if "Near" still works here. Hence, why Near users have to be 18 and above. Great for hookups though EDIT: Disaster averted. It works. It's just very picky. The good thing about it though, the address is eerily accurate. I'm not sure I wanna share my location with strangers without proper filters. |
