ok me just bought 3g/wifi psv.so what suppose to be done at first?straight away update the firmware?just connect to wifi and can update it online right?

hey everybody.it is compulsory to upgrade our system software due to hang issue?currently me using still using 1.05.any noticeable problem with this software?
