Hi guys, just got my PSV yesterday (3G HK) and noticed that my screen has some weird vertical lines when displaying grey/brownish colors? The lines are very tiny and only noticeable if you look at the screen closely. Just wondering if this is only me or do other people notice it too? Easiest way to see them is to hold down the power button and on the shut down screen you can see the tiny lines. Or change your background color to the brown one to see the lines.

I noticed my screen has multiple vertical lines especially when displaying a grey picture. The lines are very small but noticeable if you look at your screen very closely. Is this normal for OLED screen? Easiest way to test is hold down the power button until the grey screen comes up. I can see the lines on my PSV

QUOTE(TongCN @ Jan 19 2012, 10:38 PM) Same bro. This problem I had brought up before, lol ... Under power turn off screen, it's noticeable around the red button there. Hmmm I think it must be the OLED screen property. The OLED pixel arrangement is like vertical lines, maybe thats why can see those lines on the screen. Always see them especially when I play Uncharted with a grey/dark scenery. Oh well, at least no dead pixels!

I think I have a problem with my OLED screen. I've brought this up in an earlier post but now with attached image for you guys to see. Wonder if anyone else has the same problem??? Can see some vertical lines all over my screen. Most noticeable in the middle there... Only happens with grey/brown colors. Can't see with bright colors. Opps sorry, here is the photo: http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff131/M...ayer0/photo.jpgAnyone else have this problem??? This post has been edited by MetroidSlayer0: Jan 20 2012, 09:29 PM

QUOTE(kevink82 @ Jan 20 2012, 09:46 PM) Saw a jap guy on YouTube kinda similar problem some part of his screen will flicker and freeze. He got a replacement unit, I suggest u contact where u buy from it's most likely a screen defect...... Its not a flickering/freezing issue. The lines are always there but only when displaying grey/brown pictures :/

QUOTE(TongCN @ Jan 20 2012, 10:18 PM) Well, bro. It's same with mine, about same place too for me. Btw, my Near still cannot work even update to 1.52 T_T Wifi Model Tried 2 modems at home + phone tethering. I am also having inconsistency with Near. Mine is 3G model. At my home, using wifi, can't detect my location already tried 10 times haha. But when I go to my friend's place can detect straight away lol. I don't have SIM card installed yet so its pretty much wifi only. Still don't understand what's the problem.

QUOTE(aqua3ds @ Jan 21 2012, 11:29 AM) Bro, I suggest you return your PSV to the seller and demand an exchange. Your screen definitely has a BIG problem. My PSV got a dead pixel when I bought on X'mas eve and I had it exchanged after a week I can't return it because I bought it overseas lol. Other people have reported such issues with their screens too and also on other mobile devices using OLED technology. I think it's pretty Common...
