Yeah, good news guyz. I inserted my DiGi 3G Simcard on my HK Vita and it can be detected automatically. No settings required.

And, the weird thing is I can receive SMS. But cannot reply.

Yeah it will hang like this. When you're not playing, there's a holder behind the case, where we can attached the VITA.

Few things on using multiple PSN account on your VITA after a few experiments I did last nite.

- switch account is possible but you have to 'Restore PS VITA system' and it will reset the whole system to initial conditions.
- when restoring it will prompt you to format your Memory Card, but it's not compulsory during the process; you can select NO

What I did was initially I login with my Japan PSN account, connect my VITA to PS3 and transfer all VITA game demos that I downloaded from Japan PlayStation Store.

After transfer, all the game demos loaded fine and running without any error.

Then I did the restore thingy and reset my PS VITA but I did not select YES when prompted to format my card. So, all the Japanese demo still available inside my card.

After restore, the system rebooted and I login with my US PSN account.

This is what I found out:

- not all demos can be run using my US PSN account for example; Twitter app, Little Deviant demo, Minna No Issho demo. It will throw you an error saying that I need to redownload the demo
- some demo will work on my US PSN account such as Power Smash, Nico Nico app

So, looks like the theory about demos can be run on any account is invalid. Unless I'm missing something here. I read from Neogaf forum discussion, they're having the same problem also.

And, for purchased game, this obviously cannot be run on multiple accounts, unless you deleted the game install file and save game from the 1st account, then only you can play on the 2nd account.

Just turn on your Bluetooth. Near will immediately detect your location.


Tested 'NEAR' just now and found 3 people playing VITA nearby my house area. Two of them hide their PSN ID. Another one is using 'fongvita'. Anyone here using this ID?

Tekken 6 not compatible with PS VITA. Not all PSP game is playable; only those with UMD Passport Compatibility can be play on PS VITA.

You mean the Tekken 6? Nope, any region also cannot, even Japan.

Weird, I've been having problem with NEAR obtaining the data also since I got my VITA, and I read from a few forums, turning on Bluetooth solves the problem.

So, just now I just turn on my Bluetooth and it detects my location straight away. I also dunno whats the connection between Bluetooth and NEAR coz I don't think VITA is using Bluetooth to triangulate the location.

From user guide, for WiFi only unit, triangulation done with WiFi, and 3G+WiFi with GPS.


Maybe you can try outside in open field?

By the way, have you update to the latest firmware? Firmware 1.50 changelog does includes fix for triangulation problems.

Yeah, inserted. DiGi 3G on, WiFi on, Bluetooth on.

NEAR can be use on Wifi model, only that 3G model will have greater range.

Yeah, can adhoc multiplayer between PS VITA and PSP.

Just wanna share my customization for LiveArea screens. Will give you guyz some idea on what can be done.

Experiencing the same issue as well. Already turn on, but it still say I'm not sharing my Online ID.

Looks like more people getting VITA near my area. Today, launched the NEAR app, and detected 13 people already.

MAXIS got multi-sim. Dunno about other providers.

MAXIS can put 5 Sim Card under one line.

Another PS Vita game demo on the way - Sumioni Demo will be released on January 25. The final version of Sumioni hits on February 9.

Yeah, it's a side-scrolling gameplay but I like the art-style, reminds me of OKAMI.

Added on January 10, 2012, 3:17 pmThe 'No SIM' error seems to be happening randomly, but it's known to be software problem. Have to wait for new firmware update. If you don't want to wait, you can open up your PS Vita, and disconnect power cable connecting the battery to motherboard and reconnect. The problem will be fixed.

I'm having the same problem also, but I think I'll just wait for firmware update.
