Best buy I no idea how best you mean.

But for nice test out, I recon below titles:

  • Avatar Extended Edition
  • Inception
  • Toy Story 3
  • Celine Dion: A New Day

*
best bluray movie to test for audio(DTS HD MA and Dolby True HD) and for visual fullHD..this is what I mean.

thanks for your recommendation

ps: Celine Dion is in Dolby True HD..the rest of the movie is in DTS HD MA..any recommendation of the movie in Dolby True HD?

thanks again..

Off topic reply too..

Bro,
I'm a huge fan of Destruction, Exodus, Sodom, KREATOR!, Testament , Slayer, Deicide, Obituary. I'd grew up listening to Thrash & Death metal.

yeahh..old school metal..right on.

Do you have The Big 4 - Life in Sofia BD?  smile.gif

Must see, that one  nod.gif

yeah..a must for a metal fan..

but that BD has a bit low on PQ..(1080i only)..
the live satellite telecast(downloaded version) with MP4 format (720p) has slightly better PQ..but too bad, it has crap AQ doh.gif

well, you can't have it all.

emm..any chance "Metal - A Headbanger's Journey" will be in BD?..

This movie is 16x9 in 2.40:1 aspect ratio.
*
when pic you see is actually,
16:9..it aspect ratio is somewhere between 1.78:1 to 1.85:1, right?

21:9 pic is somewhere between 2.35:1 to 2.40:1, right?

point is, I love watching the pic full in 16:9 screen..without the letterbox..

question: 1080p in 2.35:1 to 2.40:1 do include the black top and bottom of the letterbox right? thus giving actual pic you see is somewhere in 800p plus, right?

correct me if I'm wrong.

thanks

Blu-ray is release in it actual aspect ratio, not all movie in 1.78:1 or 1.85:1

Use projector if you can't stand on the black bar. smile.gif

I'm just saying, I love it when the bluray release is in 1.78:1 or 1.85:1..
just look at Dark Knight when the scene change from 2.40:1 to 1.78:1..awesome..
and Transformer 2 (Imax edition) too..even though only 2 scene..tree fight scene and devastator scene..still awesome..

anyway, I can live with the black bar on my tv..just it would be better not to have that..

and I don't fancy projector..
