Movie:
Truth be told I was writing this off as a female version of a Stallone movie but it surprised me. Nice plot a throwback to the days of Russia as a superpower and the KGB days. Decently paced and with enuf action sequences to keep the mind from wandering. Jolie does well and the supporting cast r ok.
PQ
4/5 Good transfer. The black levels r not inky for certain scenes and there were some softer soft. Did not detect dnr or any other artifacting. The colour pallette was slightly desaturated but that was the intent.
AQ
4.5/5 First thing that struck me was how well the surround were used. Crowd noise, doors closing and panning on the action scenes were very very good. Only drawback was some dialogue was sort of mumbly...
Good way to spend 1hr an 40mins. I viewed the extended cut so will see the directors cut for the differences.

i totally not agree with it. i very enjoy watching this movie.
if compare with narnia i rather watch this..

PQ are great almost all the time.. just when there on the pond trying to kill the spirit, i notice the black level is not equal. not sure intended or what.. other than that, is good all the time...

AQ are excellent. reference quality i would say. without this AQ this movie not much enjoyable. surround is lively all the time. nicely done for the AQ especially on the bass and surround.

really looking forward for 2nd episode

I can't agree with this, Airbender is SUCK! That director shall retired after making "The Six Sense".

I always wondering "The Six Sense" is direct by M. Night Shyamalan or not, as after this movie, all his movie quality is getting worst and worst.

His "Signs" , "The Village" , "Lady In The Water" & Devil had made decent reviews among movie critics except "The Happening" & "The Last Airbender". I regretted watching The Happening but it was an intense film with no great feeling except frustration. I have watched all the movies i have mentioned earlier, except The Last Airbender & Devil.

Devil should be the one next to catch up with..

didnt watch Airbender, but by the look of it, i didnt feel like watching it at all...

The Happening is not that great but still okay to me, Devil is pretty decent. im still looking forward to his Night's Chronicles...

Hmm.... maybe I shall watch the recent one "Devil" since you both given good review on it, that the only I not watching yet. I still put high hope on him, truly hope he can make some miracle against.

The "Sign" & "The Village" is ok, but it not better than "The Six Sense" for me.

The rest like "Lady in the Water", "The Happening" & "The Last Airbender" all ... lousy film. (It is worst to worst for me).

I will check on "Devil", actually the trailer interesting me but after the "The Last Airbender" I not plan on watching it due to "The Last Airbender" is too too too bad.

Most people comment that you will only appreciate Airbender if you saw the cartoons. Have you watched it before?

But from movie making perspective already failed if you can't tell a story without assuming the audience had background knowledge...

did you watch it on cinema or on BD?
storyline i would not say it is too bad or too great..it was acceptable..
the most enjoy in this movie is the AQ + storyline..without the AQ maybe it will be suck

devil should be good...have it but not yet watch it

never watch the cartoon before..
but still i enjoy watching it...
maybe because the AQ are great

Oh, I mean suck to the movie itself. I watch at download copy.

Now still awaiting my "Inception" & "Band of Brothers" which dispatch on same day but different packaging by Amazon.

Voltron: Fleet of Doom Blu-ray Canceled

The Blu-ray release of Voltron: Fleet of Doom, officially scheduled for late last year and which never materialized, has been canceled by Media Blasters. The announcement came from the Twitter feed of World Events Productions. No reason was given for this development.

Note that some retailers are still listing this title as available and even giving a delivery estimate, but it has never actually come out.
