Hi klseet,

I am planning to have the similar network as JinXXX but for the down stair I would like to replace the RB250GS with DD-WRT running on WRT54G/GS/GL (this WRT will not run as Wireless AP with VLAN tagging/trunking of VLAN1 & VLAN600).

Added on January 6, 2012, 6:44 pmUpdate...

I am able to achieve the following using Mikrotik RB751U-2HnD (PPPoE client) and Linksys WRT54GSv4 (with IPTV). I put the Mikrtotik RB751U-2HnD upstair where my BTU is installed and Linksys WRT54GSv4 downstair. Both Mikrotik RB751U-2HnD and Linksys WRT54GSv4 is connected using TP-Link Homeplug.

At upstair I have PC connect to Mikrotik RB751U-2HnD via wired and notebook connect via wireless.

At downstair I have media server connect to Linksys WRT54GSv4 via wired as well as UniFi IPTV and notebook connect to wireless.

My simply diagram as below: -

UniFi BTU Connect to Mikrotik [Port1] --- Mikrotik RB751U-2HnD ~ Connect to BTU [Port1] ~ PC [Port2 to 4] ~ Trunk [Port5] --- [Homeplug] --- Linksys WRT54GSv4 --- Trunk [Port1] ~ PC [Port2 & 3] ~ IPTV [Port4]

I will be sharing the complete setup. rclxm9.gif
