QUOTE(chiahau @ Feb 24 2011, 10:22 PM) Someone using a way more expensive tool than me but dunno such thing? Lol Jk jk. Spot is centre focus only, while Local you can choose your AF point. Quite useful if you need to change your AF point. But not necessary la. nono...i know la..aiyoorr....because what we want is a 'dot' in the middle...for aiming....that's all...local will confuse the requested person

QUOTE(ReasonsofThanatos @ Feb 24 2011, 10:41 PM) I guess panning shots are quite 2-D..means most of d time subjects r swaying sideways..that's where the panning action involve huh, and that's how d background's blurred with d sense of speed. For subjects moving onto or away from the camera d sense of speed is added with Zoom Burst instead. yeah...true...because i was thought of how kysham took the GT shots, skyline one which the subject drove vertically i guess it is all up to the user what result they want

QUOTE(empty-ball @ Feb 24 2011, 10:56 PM) hi, I have a question to ask is that, normally i read ppl blog thy teach , to panning, use suitable fas shutter speed, smaller aperture and low iso right ?? Nw the prbm i hav is why even i use n follow the guideline above my result jz a black screen.... however, if i turn my ISO higher exmaple:800...i only can make it panning... why ?? if higher ISO will be more noise.... find a brighter environment...perhaps afternoon

OVF = Optical View finder Your A33 uses the EVF. be kind dude....make good impression for newbie...he already stated he's beginner @empty-ball, just my two cents...better understands the meaning of ISO, Shutter and Aperture and the combination settings before started to take panning... QUOTE(ieR @ Feb 24 2011, 11:38 PM) sigh, eh, u guys, stop messy with empty-ball head... lol he will be more confuse not knowing where went wrong empty-ball: my advise, first, empty your head, its hard to teach a cup full of water, forget what u read online. now, turn ur camera mode to P mode. set ur iso to auto. for the first 5000 picture, shoot with only P mode. everytime u shoot, when u review the picture, look at the aperture (F#.#) and shutter speed (1/###) and iso used for that picture, understand why did it used F5.6 rather then F22, see why does the shutter speed is only 1/60 then 1/4000. why is the iso at iso800 or 1600 rather then 100 all the time. study ur environment too. after u get the general idea which setting goes for what kind of environment, u will slowly learn the A and S mode, and only lastly goes to M. do not jump to M mode directly, it will lead u nowhere. +1

QUOTE(lwliam @ Feb 25 2011, 06:46 PM) in times like those, alkalines will be at my rescue. Cheap, abundant, and even cheaper if i buy in large packs. I've got 4 bags, throw 4pcs fresh batts into each camera bag and i'm 'insured' from sudden low batt. Speaking of which, i need to let go one of my bags d, getting redundant. yes...i though they are realiable last time as everytime sudden 'low battery' sign comes out....due to the design for the low output capsule....hence use Rechargeable.... How much is the 2 hours charger?
