Thx again for Benny well explanation.
I have a query about Kernel. Could Kernel be fully overwrite by another Kernel?
What i mean here, flash new Kernel on top of existing Kernel and fully overwrite the existing one.
*
Yes, it will overwrite the existing kernel. You need to unlock the bootloader first before overwriting the existing kernel. The bootloader is a PC's "BIOS" equivalent software running before kernel starts. To unlock it you need to download the bootloader unlocker apk, can refer to 1st post.

Depending on the kernel compilation done by developer, certain functions may break e.g. camera, sensor and etc. If you are using KM2 or JM4, you can use 1.4Ghz Koxudaxi kernel. I'm using it with KM2 and it is stable.

hi adamking, long time didn't hear from you already. Thx for the explanation there. i actually very interested and a lot of queries and Bootloader, Kernel as well as Rom. i actually unlocked the bootloader already and using Overcome 1.2 Rom and 1.0 Kernel. Hope you able and try best answer all my queries  and shown following:
1. As you explained above, is that mean flash the new Rom won't unlocked the bootloader? coz pc will boot the bios first b4 get into OS.

2. bootloader, rom.and kernel are 3 isolated programs which not one will install ontop of the others programs? or kernel will flash ontop of rom since it won't operate without rom?

3. if your explanation above is true, i will slove the kernel problem by flash a new kernel ontop of existing kernel? however, i experince b4, my previous kernel problem won't slove although flash with new kernel. how possible this will occurs?
*
1. Yes. You need unlocker apk to unlock it. Flash ROM won't help and in fact if flash with custom Modaco or Overcome wont boot at all if bootloader is not unlocked.

2. Bootloader is like BIOS will always run first and primary usage to flash kernel and ROMs. Samsung's bootloader needs a PC to operate (Odin). Yes, kernel running on top of ROM and kernel with CWM can flash new ROM using SD cards.

3. Not all kernel are compatible with ROMs and devices. Some devices e.g. Latin, USA, Middle East devices cannot be flash Euro kernel. In fact some custom kernel has to use with custom rom NOT stock rom e.g. new Modaco/Overcome kernel. You have to know your current device type and also read other ppl trial/error. In fact I did many trial and error as well from r3 Modaco, v10/v11/v12 richardtrip to v2.8.9 Koxudaxi. Always make sure you backup neccessary data but reinstalling apps is always painful process... cry.gif

I don't mind participating in it though.  Maybe you can share more on how to start participating in the Waze program?
*
Just download Waze from Market. It is free. In app register an account and start using.
It is kinda fun, it uses points and other funny stuff. If you post a traffic jam/accident/police trap you will get point and etc...
They made kinda like a game.

A normal 1.5A/2A charger won't charge the TAB. I tried many. There is circuit needed which detect "original" charger.
If it detect non "original", it will just draw 300~350mA (I tested it in my company lab), this current barely enough to maintain normal usage.

found out the battery consumption is quite high while using WIFI or 3G...is that normal?
*
For me, turning on 3G and WIFI, will last me at least a day (end of day should be half). I get about ~15 calls a day.
My google sync/facebook/exchange/sms backup are running. Read news or manga during morning/lunch and during meetings.
For me great battery life... Using it almost close to 5mths now.

If using it non stop playing games with Wifi/3G on will only last 4~5hrs max.

This is quite good in case you are out and you need extra power : it acts as an extra battery and also charges your TAB sametime
The unit can be charge thro the USB port or micro USB port
It comes with many additional pins for other gadgets.
For the TAB, just plug in your USB cable

[attachmentid=2101044]

Input : DC 5V - 1000mA
Output : DC 5.3V - 1000mA (MAX)
Capacity : 4800mah
Dimension : 100 x 44.5 x 25 mm
Weight : 140g
Color could be white or black depend on availability

I purchase it from : See more info at this link

@Benny, from the photo I can see the TAB detected a USB device plugin. Usually when this happens, I need to turn off the LCD to let the mobile charge do its job otherwise if I use the TAB it won't charge and the battery will still drop but albeit slower.

If this can charge may be I buy it as well because my current (also 1A) cannot charge while using the TAB.

this is more suitable as a extra battery when your tab charge is low. off the lcd, it will charge faster. while in use, depend on what one does, the charging is very slow

Added : Just under Half hour with screen off, charges TAB by 10 %

Thanks benny, hmm... it is same as mine...

bro and sis,... i'm having probs with my bluetooth connectivity ... according to MCM itech is having compatibility with Gal tab,..... wat is the recommended handsfree for it?? thanks

I using iTech Vibrate and also car FM-Bluetooth stereo, sometimes the tab giving weird problem.
It show "Connected" but there is no audio, has to turn off the bluetooth and enable/reconnect again.
I use BT all the time since TAB is my primary phone.
I think it is a bug... not sure it happen to anyone here.

But still need the wall charger right? or can plug into USB charge? hmm.gif

The tab require a specific voltage at the USB's D+/D- to detect original charger. So when buying a charger make sure it is written "for galaxy tab" otherwise you plug into tab, it will treat as "usb device" and turn on kies/mass storage.

but if lets say one day i need send back for warranty, where can i get back to stock rom or revert back? issit during the process of changing kernel, there is function for doing the backup of stock rom?
*
Sometime samfirmware.com firmware cannot be updated via Odin ( I tried JK2 / JMA ).
So I "brick" the tab via Odin before sending back for warranty (during the kernel download, unplug the cable).
When sending back time, you mentioned your problem and said it "brick" when updating firmware via kies.

Well the next one up is galaxy tab 8.9
My guts feeling samsung will cease producing the 7 in and promote the 8.9 as alternative
I hope it is not, Tab + phone + pocketable is my what I look for next upgrade. I bet this is the feature current SGT users looked for.

I feel 8.9 sales won't be as good as 7" SGT. Furthermore 8.9 is reaching IPAD2 space and may suffer in sales because lack of differentiation.
Stopping 7" sales without similar replacement at this moment will lost the momentum that has build up since last year.
