These codes is abbreviated description of rom sources : Look at list below ( might not be latest ) and by looking at your firmware coding you will know the original language/country, year, month and lastly version number
What do the letters and numbers mean in firmware names?
Example firmware P1000XXJK5

P1000 = Model which is the Galaxy Tab
XX = The linguistic area : which is Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Denmark
J = Year which is 2010
K = Month which is November
5 = Version of month

EURO sets - just use z4root one step root within few second you get iit done
SG sets - some can use z4root but mostly superoneclick will work ( based on what i read at Mobinauts Spore PDA forum )

Other countries - normally you'd need SuperOneClick ( based on what I read at GalaxyTab forums and Galaxytab.net forums )

Correct. Only first time you launch program , you need to sign in with email and password
I am also assuming the maps have been downloaded first using the aura download app

If you have Battery Life issues, try this first:
Turn the Tab off and charge to 100%
Unplug from charger and immediately boot into recovery by holding volume up & power button
Navigate to Advanced
In the Advanced menu, choose Wipe Battery Stats
Reboot Tab normally and Enjoy a freshly calibrated battery
NOTE - Having the tab off is important...I notice that even if I charge to full while tab is on, once I turn it off it continues charging for another 10 minutes or so before hitting 100%. I believe the sensor determining what is a full battery is different in the off position and will allow you to get the fullest charge.

there is, if you're using Clockworkmod Recovery. Normal Samsung recovery doesn't has it.

Ya, I can confirm that digi 3g will have problem on tab.

You can go for digi + edge if u want to have good battery life as I find that digi edge is best among other celco.

But if u want 3g speed, then don go for digi coz u're gonna regret like me for signing my life to them. Tried at least 4 diff digi sim and tried both diginet & 3gdgnet on all sim, buy also the same. Seeking help from digi is even worse, such waste of time and whatever they ask u to do or troubleshoot are rubbish.

i bought mine from lowyat forumner....he told me mine is ori...but i saw Vodafone logo at startup...so it is ori or ap???
