One week after I bought my guinea pig I noticed hair loss around the right eye and the skin is red as if there is a fungus infection. I don't dare to confirm it so I hope someone will give me some advice. Thank you.

wat vege u feeding? try give her a few tembikai susu.. but not too much ya.. maybe around 3x1 cm like tat..

she is stress.. is her poo normal? size ok, wet or hard? u need to comfort her.. stroke her while talk to her abit <-- sound funny but it does work sometimes..

how wet is ur wet? like berak cair? or soft moist poo? if it is the former.. u better go to vet.. might be diarrhea <-- it can form due to stress... it is obvious ur piggy is stress due to the death of its child..

Apparently your sow is having physical stress while delivery, prolong delivery time could be the cause of the death of well-formed babies (still-birth babies).

She is not stress because after seeing her baby died, it is not an emotional stress.  It is physical stress after delivery, hence you need to give her high vit-C food to recover.  Feed her more Alfafa Hay and timothy hay for 2-3 months.

hello guys..juz wanna ask where to geta tray for c n c cages?? right now i'm using a cloroplas and put a layer of news paper on top of cloroplas..

I juz recently bought 2 guinea pigs from petswonderland. Unfortunately 1 died juz 3 days after moving into new house as her head stuck at d egde of cage for few hours when I went for work =( she survived for 12 hours but plain lying down..I have now sticked the side of the cage with cloths and newspaper until the other GP grow bigger to avoid accident like this to happen again.

I am actually looking for another female GP (short hair) from home breeder, if any of u is having 1 for sale or adoption please let me know..I would prefer tri-colour tho. Hehe. Wanna get a new friend for my 1 month old Dan Dan..Thx in advance =)

Btw, I have a question for all pros in GP. Is eye discharge common for GP? My GP has 1 big eye on the right and 1 smaller eye on the left. Her left eye always have small discharge, and it will dried up like us when we wake up from sleep. Sometimes they will be discharge too. Dunno is it common for GP? Looking for advice....*.*

just got the material today..gonna start diy new simple cage for my gp..

u can buy at any hardware shop,they must have it..its kind of wire mesh,many types also depend on price(rm3.50-rm8.00/meter)..the green one is wire insulated with plastic i think..so its anti-rust..

where do u live?im in penang..just go to any hardware shop(dont know wt the shop nme),only know they sell woods,paint and other contrction goodies ..bigger shop better la,many choices..

consulted the vet, after inspecting samples he said its not mange mites but localised bacterial infection

well i went to the one in seri kembangan coz it was the closes to me. the vet did scrap her affected skin and checked under the microscope n said he couldn't find any mites. He gave a antibacterial cream n told me to keep an eye on her progress.

hmm yea, was planning to do so as well. Went to him coz i needed a quick consultation but seems like his medication is working. My piggy's wound is healing up pretty well and she's been eating a lot like normal
