I started taking drum lessons in July 2008. Bought my drumset during November/December 2008, thought I could learn by myself, so I stopped my lessons in January 2009. When I stopped I was almost finished with the RockSchool Grade 5 syllabus. Didn't take any formal examination.

I have not been taking any formal drum lessons since. I was in the percussion section in my school's marching band for over a year, and have converted from a matched grip player to a traditional grip player, even on the drum set.

I have just finished my SPM last month, and am now hoping to further improve my drumming with an instructor. I live around the USJ area.



If anyone can recommend me, or knows any good drum teacher around the Subang area who provides private drum lessons, please do PM me.

Or if you are a drumming instructor please PM me yourself as well.

Otherwise, any other help/advise would be greatly appreciated.

I think now that you already know the basics, why not search or form a band and start jamming. Expand on your own skills and start to develop your own playing style. Practice makes perfect.
