First, this is my set. HDTv, Astro beyond, LG DVD player connected to hometheater and a Samsung Blu-Ray player.

Here's the problem.

When I bought my blu-Ray player, I wanted it to be connected with my HT system, but the problem is I can't. I need to connect another optical cable from the blu-Ray player to the LG DVD player in order to get the sound coming out from the HT. Hence, I can't get trueHD audio whenever I play blu-Ray movie.

Now the second thing is that, now I have my astro byond connected to the tv, I can only my get sound from the tv.
Is there anywhere I can get the sound to come out from my Homethreater?

My tv has 4 HDMI input, LG has only 1, and Samsung bluray also only 1.

Thanks a lot!

LOL, you're the same person?

1) Your LG HTiB doesn't support HD audio, why bother. Just stick with your optical cable connection from BDP to HT.

2) Connect HDMI OUT from byond to HDMI IN LG HT, then HDMI OUT LG to HDMI IN TV. This is the only way you can get 5.1 from byond to your HT. Your HT only got optical in but byond has coax out. But if you don't want DD 5.1 from byond, you can connect using analog RCA & settle with PLII for 5.1. Then HDMI IN can connect to BDP.

Your term 'LG DVD player' is confusing me. It's actually your HTiB, right?

Yes. Different pc. rclxub.gif

First of all, thanks so much for ur time and info.

Well, I don't know what is a HTiB, I think you are right. But the problem is my LG HTiB only has one HDMI input, as is my BD player.

I mean I can't connect the BD player and astro beyond to the LG, and then from LG to the tv due to lack of HDMI port, right?

Yes, but your TV has 4 HDMI input. You can connect from BDP to TV directly.

If you still want to connect using HDMI, you can buy HDMI switch with remote (another remote shakehead.gif ) for about RM100~RM200

Yes but my main point is getting the astro audio from my HT system instead of only from the tv.

Or can I do it this way. Connect astro hdmi to tv, then one more hdmi connecting from tv to my HDiB, will I get audio from the HT on astro?

6900 series TV have the optical out. Why not connect from TV optical out to LG HTiB optical in?

Blu-ray and Astro byond connect direct to HDMI input on the TV, so whichever the HDMI input to TV selected then audio should be output to the LG HTiB..
