QUOTE(mr.kurien @ May 4 2011, 11:07 AM) i believe we all know and heard these 2 proverbs... "SEDIAKAN PAYUNG SEBELUM HUJAN" and "BILA DAH TERHANTUK BARU NAK TERNGADAH" it is not the issue of wasting the so called "rakyat money". actually what is "rakyat"? civillians? how about soldiers? their families member? civis who work inside the camp? civis who sweep the floor inside army camp? are those not "rakyat"? if not, what must we called them? barua? soldiers also pay taxes and same thing with the polices. take example of land broker... a land owner wanted to sell his land for about 30k. when he went to see a land broker, that LB automatically raised the sum maybe up to 40 to 50k. "his upah" for sure. same with us... we do the same thing because we want to get extra bucks for what we are selling. no doubt about that. just go to 2 or 3 supermarkets and compare all the prices for a single item for example baby milk powder. and you will find lots and lots of different prices on one same item. so to guarantee our security do we need our protectors to use just a "slingshot" or "arrow" or "stone" or "tipped wood"? tepuk dada tanyalah selera it is called MOOTW - Military Operation Other Than War You lost me there. What land broker analogy got to do with equipping armed forces with the right equipment to do their job?
