![]() im an armchair general from time to time. let me propose this to the malaysian army, russian made BMPT Main gun 2 x 30-mm cannons ATGW 4 x Ataka-T launchers Machine guns 1 x 7.62-mm Grenade launchers 2 x 30-mm the russian designed the BMPT based on their experience in chechnya. due to the fact that MBT main gun cant traverse high/low enough in urban battlefield, they had to bring in the shilkas. n lookin at malaysia nowadays, its unwise to neglect urban warfare in our defence policy. wut u guys think? firepower is good ![]() |

QUOTE Israeli security officials are investigating the theft of eight military jet engines from an airbase near Tel Aviv. http://www.military.com/news/article/fight...raeli-base.htmlAn IDF spokeswoman described the engines as old or retired and likely stolen for their scrap value, and one retired U.S. Air Force general said the episode is more of an embarrassment for Israel than harmful to the U.S. But U.S. security and aviation experts say the engines still hold secrets that foreign rivals such as Iran or China would love to get their hands on. “They’re still more modern than anything in the Iranian air force inventory, and they would even be helpful to China in their jet engine development,” said Richard Aboulafia, vice president for analysis with Teal Group, a Washington, D.C. defense industry research corporation. “Modern technology engine design is a ‘black art’ to this day,” he said, and so far no country has been able to match the engine design and manufacture of American fighter engines. An Israeli military spokeswoman confirmed to Agence France Presse on June 13 that officials had begun an investigation into the theft of aircraft parts, but would not say what they were. However, the Israeli newspaper Maariv quoted Israeli air force officials as saying the parts were in fact eight engines for F-15 and F-16 model aircraft. (full article) this is worse compared to our stolen F5 engines. they lose 8 F15/F16 engines man |

QUOTE(James831 @ Aug 7 2011, 01:58 AM) have u guy seen this???? they're from the same unit (seal team 6 devgru), but not the same personnel that were involved in pakistan mission. but still...20+ personnel from seal team 6, thats a huge loss Chinook shot down in Afghanistan, 37 killed. various posts on the thread say at least 20++ US Navy SEAL TEAM SIX commando that involve in the BIN LADEN Raid in pakistan are among the casualties, shocking "......The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, and they could hardly have found a more valuable target: American officials said that 22 of the dead were Navy Seal commandos, including members of Seal Team 6. Other commandos from that team conducted the raid in Abbottabad, Pakistan, that killed Bin Laden in May. The officials said that those who were killed Saturday were not involved in the Pakistan mission...." source This post has been edited by admnovsk: Aug 7 2011, 04:57 AM |
