Oto Melara, a Finmeccanica company, on 13 April 2011 signed a contract in Kuala Lumpur for the supply of nr. 18 12,7 Hitrole Naval Turrets to be installed on board the new ships of the Malaysian Coast Guard (MMEA) within the Fast Interceptor Craft Program.

The contract, whose value amounts to 7 million Euros, foresees the delivery of 10 turrets to the Malaysian BYO shipbuilding and 8 turrets to the DMS shipbuilding.

In response to the stringent requirements of the emerging warfare, the 12,7 Hitrole Naval systems have been conceived to produce the top level of performance, including when operating in synergy with the other cooperating equipments.

can u give source stating that 24 F-16 are 30yrs old?
most european countries already extended/upgraded their F-16 lifespan with MLU, and they keep that fighters in inventory.
so are those european are 'bodoh nak mampus' bcos they want to sit in rotten fighters?
i laugh at this hahahahahah
those block 25 entering USAF in 1984...u know how long the old of the airframe already?

synthesis bout the F/A-15 block 25
talking bout repairing close-to-30years old fighter plane rolleyes.gif
Elaborating on an announcement on Friday by the presidents of the two countries, the department said Jakarta would cover an estimated up to $750 million to refurbish the late-model fighters and overhaul their engines.

History of Block25
USAF F-16C block 25, #84-1299, during Desert Storm.
Production of the F-16C/D began with Block 25 (also known as MSIP Stage II). The first F-16C (serial number #83-1118) flew on June 19, 1984 and was delivered to the USAF one month later.
