Hmm played this game for 2 days, and the impression i got is just another typical korean MMO. Lots of grinding, and some kill some x get y quest.

coz it's now still in close beta
u gotta apply then they will send u the password...

not sure if they need to give access to ur id to login to the server during close beta

i join do online close beta before, my login id does need their action...
and they do send a mail telling me the password for the installshield...

yup, that's right. If you already register it for other games from e-games, you can use it also in ran-online.

Well, the GameAxis center advert stated that the game will have an English server this August. I'll be looking forward to it.

1. There are a few quest for newbies until lvl 27. There is one for newbie LV3 - 完全征服LV5 means conquer LV5 and u receive 經驗值400，C級棉手套+2. But where or how do I start this quest?? I have already reach LV7 but I dun see any C級棉手套+2 and not sure about the 400exp.
2. How do I learn new skill?? I know u'll need to purchase the so-called skill book from NPC. But at LV7 I was unable to use the thing to learn skill even I bought it already. Any idea??

when you reach the level u need to talk to 福利社 guy to get ur glove.

and about the skill scroll u buy the correct one and right click it.

p.s. now level 31 and can go out front door liao(go out front door need test). i still thinking wanna change to english later or not. kinda lazy to retrain.

If u wanna learn some skill,

- u must have enuff lvl.
- u must have enuff stat point.
- u must buy the scroll of skill, eg, u are archer. The scroll u can buy in the archer club. Thats it.

To see the skill tree, press K.

every now and then there will be school fight where one school go over another school and "sweep floor"

good news, 30/8 they will open new server which is no-pk, don't scare floor sweeping liao

the best thing is the character is usable in both server. so no need to retrain! thumbup.gif

although Ran-Online is in chinese version, but too bad my mandarin was not that good.........because I get use to english liao........well 7 chai, normally archer needs to increase on dexterity, agility, and intelliegence but I'm dunno how to translate these into mandarin!!! so can u help me to translate pls, thanks!!!

Sori, I neva play archer b4. So I dunno how to add their stats.

Anyhow, in Ran Online.

Agility is call "Ming Jie"
Intelligent is call "Jing Shen"
Dexterity I dunno.

So far I saw, endurance, strength and the 3 I mention above if I not mistaken lar.

Dexterity(dex) is the same as Agility (敏捷)
Intelligence(int) is (精神)
Strength(str) is (力量)

Many of those who play this game recommended that just concentrate adding 1 stat, which is either dex, int, or str, this is better for u to equip more powerful weapon and learn higher skills for the particular type. Thus, there are 3 types of each job u can see in the skills menu. If u split ur stat pts to separate fields.. it's not that u cant, but u will feel difficulties in lvling, because ur dmg definitely b lower than ur same lvl with pure stat to 1 field.

According to the forum, English server is coming out soon in Sept. And there will be a 2nd non-pk server on 30th Aug. As well as the premium item stores will be opened 30th Aug.

Pure 1 field for archer will be so called 敏弓，精弓，and 力弓 in the game. At higher lvl where u hav max all ur field's skills.. then probably u can add stat pts to another field... but that will be at a really high lvl (may b around lvl 1xx). At beginning, it's recommended u add only to 1 field, but then, it's jus a recommendation. U can do what u want to play the game, since it's only a game =)

well for starters, the english names for the schools are Sacred Gate Campus, Mystic Peak Campus, Phoenix Campus, and Leonine Campus. Found that at e-games.com.

On another note, lets us all join the same school, from what i can see in the ran forum, most of them give the impression that they wanna murder those from other schools real badly >_>''.

7chai: u mean "yi jie mo shi"?? that's for upgrading weapon after u reach +4 ... u can use it for +1 til +4 also... but after +4 u must use yi jie mo shi instead of mo shi to upgrade (mo shi is for +1 til +4)

and btw... it's quite hard to get +5 without having chances of failure or downgrade

to do the upgrade.. 1st make sure ur weapon is in the inventory and not wearing it... then click on the "mo shi" and right click on ur weapon... there will be a popup asking for confirmation.. then it will be a notice showing ur weapon is upgraded successfully or failed (if i remember it correctly =P)


Hell Fire: win98?? emm... i'm not sure about tat... it's been a long time since i quit win98... i try check it out for u in the web =)

i nvr played RO b4... but for the case in RAN...

i reached lv57 now.. only manage to get 1 upgr weapon stone and 1 armor upgr pot =.=

but there is something extra... u can collect an item called empty bottle in chinese... when u got 20 of them.. u can change for 1 upgrade package containing 1 of each 7 materials for upgrading (mo shi, hu bei ji, and the 5 element def stones)... the exchange is made at the cleaner guy at outside of school (at the roundabout)

Hehe.. that wont be the case for me.. chinese or english.. altho i do prefer english as i can communicate "faster" with typing in english than chinese (but i still prefer mandarin when speaking =P)

yesterday don't know y getting worse, wonder why all of a sudden drop of bandwidth...

at 1st I thought it's my pc connection problem =.= but then after double checking, there isn't any background connections...

and in the game... my char is like pausing slightly for every step while running to a location... not to mention died a few times because of lagging (while I was solo-ing~~ >.<)

Of coz, I got ideal how this game play actually.

If wanna fast lvl up, the best way is party or leech the high lvl people.

If play solo, got the risk to get kill. Then reduce exp. ><

I know, but there have a limit for malay and Indian races people.

another option is go to lvl at the Guai Tou pit.

alot of high lvl people go there hunt the "Mo Shi". So If u lucky enuff u can party them.

just concentrate on one stat...is very hard to learn 2 or all stat..u will suffer when u see person who same level with u can use power sword or bow..but u still using the cheapsake stuff. When u above level 100 only start learn other..

sorry, you are wrong here. when in open beta the login ID and password will be the same. chinese and english. the only thing will be character not transferable.

I suggest you all learn up to lvl 40 then go out school or you will lose many EXP!

i just joined ran online yesterday.. n now i am level 22.. now got mooncake promo..get 100 mooncake exchange one mystery mooncake box n can have diffrent items inside.. me also dunno mandarin..fren help me select.. n after playing for 2 days.. i know how to read "bread, mooncake, " in mandarin..coz lotsa it on floor.. kekekke..
