QUOTE(mamet @ Feb 16 2011, 05:33 PM) GET VIBER NOW !! free calling to your phone over 3G or WiFi to anyone anywhere in the world. The app costs as much as the actual calls do – nothing!!! Any advantage for viber/tango/etc over skype ?

I'm looking for an iPhone app that can send repeated same SMS to a single tel number. Not send from PC/web/etc. as it store the sender (i.e. me) tel number. This is for a competition, where every Nth SMS will win a prize. Therefore, may need to send repeat SMS 100x-1000x times continuously. Anyone has suggestion ? Thanks [WTA] SMS Blast

I'm looking for a WiFi scanning application that can tell me within range: (1) What are the SSID within range (2) The channel (1 to 11) ? (3) Signal strength (dBm) (4) Security type (WEP, WPA, etc.) Anyone ? Edit: I read/found that AppStore has pulled out all those apps. Anyway, I found WiFi Analyzer in Cydia. The purpose of this is to do a simple scan on Channels (especially in office area), so that I can choose other channels (1-6-11) and not to interfere with their signals. QUOTE(xaVier @ Jun 22 2011, 02:43 PM) Would you guys recommend getting Opera Mini 6.. or is it better just to stick with Safari.. I don't surf a lot, just on a need-to basis on the small iPhone4 screen. Therefore I stick with default Safari. Serve me fine 100% so far.

For iPhone4
1. Safari - press and hold the weblink, then pop-out, press New page. But limited to 8 pages.
2. Yes, safari back button = reload, waste bandwidth. So normally if I open sub-webpage, I use #1 method.

QUOTE(abcdefcuk @ Jun 28 2011, 11:43 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « guys, below are the situation i am in now.
1) i have a USB Broadband stick which my laptop can get connected to the internet. 2) i have an iPhone 4 and is connected to my laptop via iTunes. 3) my iPhone only got call plan (no data plan), thus cannot surf.
I am able to download apps by accessing appstore via iTunes and "sync" it into my iPhone. But i am unable to currently use these apps as my phone dont have its own data connection.
Question: Is there any app which would allow my iphone to utilise the internet connection from my laptop? For example, i wanna use whatsapp on iphone4. thanks all As suggested, it is possible. iPhone WiFi -> Laptop WiFi (ad-hoc) -> network internet connection sharing -> USB berukband The trouble is your laptop need to toggle between the wifi (adhoc) and normal usage when you go to places with WiFi.

Using FlexPlayer, playing Full HD rmvb (40 min = 350MB+) is very jerky in iPhone4. No issue with lower resolution. Anyone encounter same thing ?

QUOTE(suntzulee @ Sep 13 2011, 05:04 PM) Can u show me how to use the papago? I open it but the navigation just stop there and not moving while the satelite is searching? How to make it move? If you DON'T move, of course the positioning will not move I can't recall the exact menu, but do a POI/Search, e.g. "Jalan Imbi" Then click on the searched item that you want. Then click on Navigate / Go (or something like that) and it will calculate/plot the route and guide you there.

QUOTE(suntzulee @ Sep 14 2011, 12:15 PM) I follow ur instruction above, but when i click on navigate, the screen is still idle. I was in a car testing it and still nothing moves. Can it be the papago files corrupted? (1) Ensure GPS position is locked to minimum required satellites. Then only: (2) Did you set your navigation Destination point ? (3) While sitting in car (moving of course), open/view the map, if I recall, bottom left, you can click to centre-on-current-position. Then the cursor will fixed to middle and the map will scroll.

Not sure if it is asked before. I'm looking for some apps, similiar like WhatsApp (multi-platform phones, at least iOS, Android, Win7mobile). Also, if possible, it has apps in local PC also (Win/Linux). Something similiar like Skype/MSN/Y! But it must able to store/route the message in Server like WhatsApp in a more reliable manner. Any idea ?
