Hi all,
How valued is PMP in the current job market and I would also need a little bit of clarification with regards to the pre-requisite to sit for PMP.
In the website it is stated that at least 3500 hours in project management capacity. Does this mean "worked as a Project Manager" for 3500 hours OR worked in project management line for 3500 hours?

I havent gotten all the information I need so far. PMP is a 5 days course after that you sit for an exam?
I thought it was self study and go sit for the exam.

Interesting to know on the points part and validity.
How do you acquire these points and what is the minimum amount of points to acquire to renew? If you fail then you are no longer PMP certified?
Even after you renew it, how long is the validity from there?

@Darkaeon so it has little to do with job after u acquired the PMP? Its more like you have to attend events / courses? For these, you would have to search for it or it is by invite only by the body governing PMP ?

@darkaeon Thanks for your feedback so far. You mentioned that online resources allow u to earn PDUs at no cost.
Meaning those forums / events etc that a certified PMP attends has cost involved?
