first going up should not be your only concern, going down is, especially on brakes.
if over heating on your first try, try radiator flushing and, try not to use ac when the outside air is already cool..used to even brought a kancil 660gx with pessenger to the top..no a/c used..
carefull not to always pijak brake when going down..
