To answer your question, most people will normally recommend what they own ("mine is the best" and not many people wants to admit if they made a wrong choice) and unless one owns both the sets and do a side by side comparision, one can not really say which one is better. It is better to see both sets in the shop where they are displayed side by side (or at least near each other) and judge with your own eyes as we have our individual tastes and preference. At this size and same price, I believe they will perform lebih kurang for normal usage since both are reputable brands. Otherwise, pick the one with features that are important for you; you cannot go very far wrong. Everything else being equal, I would pick the Toshiba since it is 2" bigger for the sme price. Just my view.

this means the Toshiba is less popular around here, coz no one is saying anything about it..while the Sharp got it own thread..

my intend normal use are, Byond, Unifi(iptv), PS3, Bluray, Media player and PC.

anyway, thanks for the feedback..

i own sharp and panasonic. So far my sharp working for 3 years and mo prob;em even the screen is great. Cannot comment abt toshiba because not using it. But the ads said sharp is no 1 Japan LCD Seller, so it must be good or at least better.

Toshiba picture is nicer (more natural) than Sharp Quattron IMHO.

But it's subjective, I don't see what's the point in asking which is better cos both are good and different people will prefer different things.

Design, size, power consumption, picture quality, features, inputs, outputs, weight, thickness, black level, contrast, refresh rate.

These are all things which different people rank differently. Go to the shop and see the sets you want to buy, go read the specs and see which one satisfies your requirements.

No one here can tell YOU which is the best.
