finally got my in-car phone holder after weeks of delay. It is universal generic type but I think it is not bad. Hold my Desire HD firmly on the windscreen - tried pull it with my hand with some force but it hold on to the windscreen tightly.

Some pictures to share:

wow... your eyes damn sharp but nope, not a Latio tongue.gif but similar icon_idea.gif

try with some force ok de... dun try TOO HARD!!
i broke mine car holder bcoz of itchy hand and trying too hard to pull it, and now have to order one car holder online...  sweat.gif
*
lol... you very kasar. doh.gif that's why I said i tried to pull with some force, not full force. laugh.gif

QUOTE(monza84 @ Jan 23 2011, 11:48 AM)
LOL..pull with full force sure that thing will broke sweat.gif...one question, how does it handle the heat? Can it withstand the heat and not fall down?? hmm.gif
*
what heat do you mean? the heated windscreen under the scorching afternoon sun? I have been using few of these car holder with suction cup like this one - one is the unversal car holder for my previous Desire and one is the original car holder from Garmin GPS - both no problem to hold tightly to the hot windscreen for prolong period.

QUOTE(cybermick @ Jan 23 2011, 12:18 PM)
Bro, u placed the car holder on the top right, then for charging, u mar need at least a 2-metres microUSB to USB cable lor? And in btw, r u selling this?
*
no need so long I think. anyway i have a microUSB cable that can connect the phone to the power outlet - either the cigarette lighter or my Headunit comfortable with some length to spare. biggrin.gif Not selling this lah. I bought around RM25. If add postage RM10, you guys interested? Just hunt for one near your vicinity - should be able to find one easily. Unless those who are in my second bulk want to buy one then I can help to get one for them since no extra postage needed. Else with the added postage no really that cost-effective.

guys, wat would i lose if i do a full wipe of my phone before flashing rom ? watever in my backup of backup pro and titanium would be affected rite ? need to restore all of them after i flashed the rom ?
*
after you backup with titanium backup, copy the Titanium backup folder to your PC, just in case. Full wipe of factory reset normally will not affect microSD card but just to be safe. smile.gif

HTCsense.com is working for me.
After you select your country as 'Malaysia', enter your number as 01x-xxxxxxx
You don't need to put in the country code before your number and ensure that your GPS is enabled.

I've rang phone twice - and I hope it didn't cost much to do so.
*
read your User Guide/Manual please. HTCSense.com is not just about ringing and locating your phone. doh.gif

for the batt calibration how do u start if its a new batt?

if it is new battery then you should use it as normal (charge when reaches 15%) for 3-4 weeks until the battery reaches its full capacity.

Need some feedback from otterbox commuter user here... does the silicon part feels loose on your device? I meanit will came off easily.
*
no, solid as rock. Unless you use only the silicone without the hard plastic shell. sweat.gif

take your DHD out and reseat the casing properly. It shouldn't be loose at all.

key in *#*#4636#*#* to change from WCDMA to GSM auto (PRL).

GSM auto (PRL) - The GSM phone is capable of using both 2G and 3G data communication and when signal strength is low 2G is favored more.
*
any difference with changing the network via Menu >> Settings >> Wireless & network >> Mobile network >>Network Mode? Here you can select WCDMA only / GSM only / GSM/WCDMA only.

coz I notice if I change the setting using the 4636 code, the setting at the Menu>>Setting>>,,,,, will change accordingly too. The GSM auto (PRL) will set the settings at GSM/WCDMA only.

save some battery when your DHD is connected to WiFi. icon_idea.gif Especially when the HSPDA network has weak signal.

*
what have you downloaded for just 1 day? did you use 3Gwatchdog to monitor your usage? How much you have used for the first day? You are originally DiGi user?

I MNP from Maxis. I signed up for SmartPlan straight, so as soon as the line is activated at DiGi, it is considered unlimited data plan. So I did not face your problem.

after perform this thing, next time we need charge battery also need to perform 5 and 6 or we can charge whenever we like?
*
no, just charge whenever you like. Only when you feel your battery drain not consistent then only you do the calibration again, maybe few months later.
