Just got a mail from Maybank with a note inside saying that I am pre-selected for Maybankard 2 cards.

Then inside it shows that I get 10k Treatspoints and Platinum cards was ticked.

All I need to do is write my name and my Maybank / American Express charge card number and sign.

Anyone got this? Do you get the 10k points automatically if you apply via this mail?

I have just received that as well this afternoon, it will be coming with 10000 TP as long I spent RM50 within the first month of the card activation, so it's not automatically and it will only bank in after 6-8 weeks.
Prior this I have get a gold card from them, so now I will be having both cards, the advantage is I can have RM100 rebate per month from maybank (on the 5%)

this morning called cs to waive gst, but they said will take atleast 7 days then oni can update in maybank2u

O. Maybank CS willing to waive GST? what card are you holding?

Do specify clearly, whether it is annual fee or service tax.

I thought only annual fee can be waived while the RM50 GST per card is a MUST ITEM!

I called CS today and they said that I need to go to branch for linkage. I found it damn ridiculous as that day, the branch staff didn't specify say when I picked the card. It's total waste of time to make another trip to the branch.

you can do it over the over phone (call the AmEx customer number, as stipulated at the back of your card and hand over your MBB ATM card number). however it may take a couple of business/working days - this is what my friend has conveyed to me.

on the other hand, heading over to the branch, will link your AmEx card to M2U instantaneously - i did this

It is not FREE WAIVER. It is REDEMPTION actually. You still need to use your hard-earned points to redeem the RM50 service tax payment.

I am also learning. This is first time I own Amex card. What is the purpose of the four digit number on the right side of the card?

That is the card's verification number, same as the 3-digit of Visa/Master.

wow, such P&C number is put at the front?? Do you guys cover it?

Won't it look ugly to put a tape there?
Or, could you share your method?

I just use a small, round dot sticker to cover it. Ugly is definitely but it's worth better than a fraud case.

You can cover it with a masking tape if you wish to hide!
