Yes, sources said the conversion will be 5000 tp to 1000 miles. Requirement will be either net worth 10mil+ or spending more than 1mil for 2 consecutive year. Annual fee will be 25-30k. This is what I heard of

AF not that high, will be between 12K to 15K but first year there is initiation fee which cost the same

Should be able to get a number from the private banking database.
Any idea when will it be launched?

Hi, anyone knows if Maybank SQ KF Amex Platinum supplementary card also needs to have a KF account associated as per the supp card holder name?
Or the KF miles for the supp card will be automatically credited to principal card holder?

Thanks.

Hi Guys:-
I am looking for some answer to the Maybank The Platinum Charge Card. I am scouting for an AMEX and to be honest, the perks offered by this card attracts me. But the same time I am not willing to pay for it's AF which is 3K+.

Here's the product
https://www.maybank2u.com.my/maybank2u/mala...tinum_card.page

Has anyone successfully (and by experience) managed to waive the 3k+ AF from Maybank? If yes, what is the criteria that the bank is asking? I asked the officer, and the answer I got is I have to pay it yearly.

Thanks!

I just pay. And get that back using the lounges when one travels. You can also issue up to 4 additional cards. So when the family travels, they too can access it. Amex is skewed towards travel usage.

Since Maybank restricts airmiles redemption per month, it's useless to have so many TP or MR that cannot be converted to airmiles... :-(

I think MR is not affected but let's wait for the users here to comment. biggrin.gif

I tried to apply for this card earlier and somehow got rejected; I will try again next time. I thought I would fly more, but it seems it is lesser now...

That is what I was made to understand. Thankfully the points don’t expire.

Have you tried redeeming before? Other TP users have to redeem on within the first few hours of 1st of every month. laugh.gif

No I haven’t tried to redeem. At the point when maybank announced the limitation. It was said MR is not affected.

MR or TP doesn't matter when it comes to redeeming airmiles since we're all going to the same page to redeem (I have no cards that give me TP and only have MR: same procedure, same page). Once the quota is finished, then wait for next month. The plus with MR is that they dont expire.
